Basically no real change other than "non-essential" stores. Parks are still open. Grocery stores are still open. https://www.mecknc.gov/news/Documents/COVID-19-Stay-at-Home-FAQ.pdf
Glad I don't live there.
Some take-aways from the FAQ:
In case you want to snitch:
How do I report a violation of this order? Call 3-1-1 or visit the City of Charlotte’s website – see the COVID-19 updates page
Does not apply to the homeless:
Does this order apply to the homeless? No – homeless are exempt from this restriction but are urged to find shelter.
Stand-by for full statewide enactment...
Wonder what’s going to happen on thru-traffic on 85 & 77 on even 74?
I spent 85% of my life in some corner of either Wake or Mecklenburg county.
Kinda hate we just bought a house in the past year my wife and I really like. Wonder how much it would cost to move it a few miles down 55 or 401 into Harnett county?
How about illegal aliens? Do they get to do whatever they want/need?
It's been nice knowing some of ya'll.
Post a message for exfil if it gets bad enough.
Not saying we'll come and get you but it's the thought that counts.......
I know a guy....
It's the craziest thing to watch them cut up a house and move it.
@gunbelt - I added some indentifying info to your title to prevent duplicate threads being created. Hope you don't mind.
You could be interpreted as Essential. You provide a service and supply a good to an Essential Industry
Is it time to run out into the front yard in my Goodwill bought silkies?
You have to know by now I don't mind fellow Mods editing my threads. Just watch what @Burt Gummer does to them. LMAO
btw @concepthomes1 , I’d like to see yer feet
And there are no FEDERAL deportations now either so they are “free ranging”?
My BIL Lives there and he sends me a
“Dude call me after work ASAP”
so I call him and he asks me for an AR , and ammo...
WTF I told him to buy one last year if he wanted one...or a parts kit and we could toss it together
he has a pistol and ammo, just not sure I wanna loan out one
Tell him he can buy one now, and give him a price if you can spare one. If it’s not important enough for him to buy one now he doesn’t want or need it bad enough.
all brick veneer on a stem wall foundation. It would look like Berlin after the war.
damn dude. Don’t make us move this to the basement. Keep your perversions to yourself out front
yeaahhh...that house ain't getting moved in one piece.
or two, or three, or four...
Come on; how would a homeless person stay at home?
aren't they technically not "at home" if they are indoors?
I have a dream...
It would be interesting if rural folks were able (somehow - this is the dream part) to pick up and move county lines? Eventually, you would find cities (and smaller towns, if their governing folks are anti-freedom) living in counties whose borders ended at the city limits...and the free folks all living outside of that.
Then you have to move it up to the state level.
Most folks out my way would welcome the creation of Raleigh County NC.
@fieldgrade Ya know, your old home place is looking a bit vacant as of late. I certainly wouldn't turn down a new shooting and wrenching partner living down the rd.
No Taylors living in the home place any longer?
This will be a hoot. Stand by to bail us out...... I knew I should have moved a little farther down the road.
When is it not?
I mean, is that just an Asheville thing?
I know where that has actually been done, some years back. A certain person lived in the next county on a dirt road, about 50 yards or so from the county line according to the sign by the side of the road. His neighboring county was going to pave the road to the county line. So one night before paving started he went and moved the sign post past his driveway. Paving was completed up to the sign and stopped.
Entire road has since been paved but the county line sign is still where it was moved to.
Apparently we didn't move to Union County soon enough. smh.
