I’m an hour and half into this book, very good book, really like the story so far. Cowboys and dinosaurs, is a first for me.

I know the author is a member of the forum, I’m very impressed.

Hey! That's a me.

I'm glad you like it! Please leave a review when you finish, it doesn't have to be any words, just some clicked stars. But reviews really help a book/audible gain some momentum with people on the fence. :)

Then tell all your family and friends about it. -wink-

And the third book is leaving audible 'development hell' at the moment. I've been promised by the publisher that it'll be done before the end of the year, but -sigh- it was supposed to have been done back during early summer.

I want the reading books.

Where can I get the reading books?

You don't have them yet??? I thought everyone on this forum was required to buy a full set to keep their membership. :)

In all seriousness, Amazon has 'em on Kindle, Paperback, and Audible. If you don't like Amazon, there's a bunch of other stores. Shoot, Walmart was selling my third book a while back. (Online though... :( ) But there's a bunch of places, Ebay may have them cheap. If you've got Kindle Unlimited, they are free. :)

EDIT - Ooooh, Ebay has some of the original covers it looks like. Those aren't as nice as the new ones, but I hope to make them valuable someday. :)

I want to hold them in my hand and flip pages, while on the couch.

You personalized your first book for me, as a gift to my buddy. He loved it! I think I bought him the second book. He loved it! I think he actually bought your third. He loved it, but bemoaned the idea of a fourth. Not because he didn't think it would be good, but his older brain is only really good with trilogies.

Although he's looking forward to your fourth, he knows he'll have to go back and read the others to keep up. Lol

I'll be retired in a few days, and I'll be looking for books (yours) to read.

Book Three - Taming Prehistoric, FINALLY came out on audible.

Book Four - Raiding Prehistoric, FINALLY was submitted to the publisher last night.

Book Five - Yet Untitled, is FINALLY beginning to be written. (I've REALLY been looking forward to this one.)

Fifth book - Conquering Prehistoric.

80% finished. I'm planning on taking some PTO this month and wrapping it up with a bow for the publisher by end of year.

This one is about Cato. I culturally appropriated the poop out of it to write the book from a black stockholm syndromed gun slinger's point of view. It's fun, and I get to bring the other characters in and out of the book as well. (I think he and Jed almost murder each other like 3x)

At the moment, this is likely the last one for a while.

I signed a five book deal with a new publisher, and they were understanding that I wanted to wrap this one up before pursuing what is owed to them. Those five books will be broken into two series. The first, a WWII/Pacific Island/Marine/Sea Monster story - two books in that. The second series is three books about competing 'Expendables' type teams hired by morally opposing billionaires to find relics of Christ. (That's gonna be a challenge to write!)

Anywho. Good things coming.

And Book Four audible.

Since this is an audio book thread, I should give an update. The narrator fell through and we had a real hard time finding someone who would be willing to pick up a series mid-way through. Ended up hiring a very good friend of mine who has been wanting to get into narrating for some time. He's got a sexy voice and he's wrapping it up now. (He literally built a sound studio in his house for this.)

Well….hell. I need to get the audibles.

All I do is listen to books while I drive all day.

Ok I’ll be honest. I bought the audible of this book to support a member. I figured how bad can it be. And when I read the synopsis I thought “Man this is going to be a jumble. It sounds like it’s going to be a mash up of planet of the apes, Jurassic park and land of the lost set in the old west. No way this is going to work”

But holy crap if it doesn’t. I like your writing style. The main character is great and the supporting characters are all really interesting as well.

The foreshadowing WSs enough that I guessed who the bad guy was going to be as soon as the meeting was mentioned and I guessed his “brother” would be there.

The train scene with the Gatling guns was so entertaining I missed a turn today and had to circle the block.

So great job. That’s unusual for me.

I’ve got 2 hours left on book one and I’ve already bought book two.

Well thank you, sir!

I appreciate you giving it a shot, but I appreciate it even more than you enjoyed it! Your post is high praise!

And as forewarning, I'm REALLY sorry we went through so many narrators. It's a business, and my audible sales weren't enough for them to continue. So I ended up with three narrators over 4 books. The perfectionist in me is bothered to absolutely no end over that. I like conformity in my creations.

Also - the narrator for book 4 has finished it - just waiting on the publisher to upload it. :)

I’m about halfway through book 2 and it hasn’t lost its charm yet.

I feel ya on the narration.

If I had a complaint at all it’s that the narrator of the books so far sounds like a dandy trying to force a gruff voice.

I didn’t bring it up because I found it incredible you were able to get on audible at all. I didn’t expect your first books to have the best narrators.

Thanks guys, I tried really hard to not suck. :) (That's my motto.)

Getting Audiobooks has been a goal of mine since I published the first book as my mom is blind and I'll be blind as well in about 20 years. (Late Onset Retinal Degeneration)

As for the guy who did the first two books.... welll.... he's known for gay romance novels. 🤣

(HEY! I DIDN'T GET TO PICK HIM!)

Dear lord. Please tell me the narrator of your third book won’t ever narrate for you again.

He is absolutely god awful. His British accent is so bad it’s making me laugh.

Good writing can overcome ok narration. And good narration can overcome ok writing.

This guy is so bad if I wasn’t invested in the story I don’t know if I’d have kept going.

He won't.

And Book Four is out now... with another new narrator. This guy I can personally vouch for, he was the best man at my wedding. :)

I promised him I'd give him honest feedback because he wants to go into narrating as a side gig.

So let me know what you guys think. I'm going to fire it up soon shortly and listen to it myself.

Awesome. Finished book 3. The book was great.

And I hate you for the cliffhanger. Luckily I won’t have to wait months for the new one.

I just want to say that I listen to a crap ton of audiobooks and two things about this series.

I hope you make boatloads of cash from the royalties.

And I really think this would make a great series on something like Hulu or Amazon. It really is an interesting concept but would require a decent budget for CGI.

@Atla tell your buddy he’s got a promising career in narrating gay romance novels. lol.

He’s better than the first 2 you had and night and day better than the third guy.

3 being good and 5 being great Id give him a 3.5 on his voices.

Only a 3 in narrating the emotions. But I think that will get better with time. He’s got promise.

Finally got around to listening to it, I've been sick for the past handful of days and it really whipped me. I put it on in the truck yesterday for a two hour drive and listened to a portion of it, couldn't turn it off. (Which is pretty good for me, cause I can't do audio books. And I've never listened to any of mine past more than 30-45 minutes.)

I think he did an excellent job, only two complaints are

1. The 'scene' jumps are too quick, I can tell where the breaks are but there needs to be more of a pause for the ear.
2. Emotions. The first few chapters are a rollcoaster of emotions, and you really need to be able to -hear- them as well as the words.

But by far my favorite narrator. I told him he has a good future and to narrate the rest of mine. :)

Just finished book 2. AWESOMEJOB @Atenjoyed every second. The mix of worlds is definitely a cool concept and the timeframe as well.
