My buddy (owns ETG Guns in Jefferson) took this in on trade. It is a Colt 1911 Silver Star. The presentation case has some scuffs but shows well. The pistol has a few light scratches and appears to have been racked but never fired. Personally I would say it is between 90-95% The photos don’t do it justice.

I’ve seen two of them with 2 digit serial numbers sell for $2400+ on GunBroker. They were new in box with case, box, shipper, and every piece of paper.

I would guess his would bring $1500ish since it isn’t new and I assume he doesn’t have every box and piece of factory paper, and his has a high serial number.

No, he didn’t get the paperwork with it. If it had not been racked, it would be a different ballgame, but you can see the marking on the barrel. I was figuring somewhere around the same price range. I really appriciate the reply Cubrock, I just wasn’t sure. These Colts vary so much, and like you said, the serial number makes a huge difference.

Mike and I bought a pair of these when they came out. Both are gone to the sands of time. I can tell you that bright stainless is easy to touch up if it did have any problems. I would say about $1200+ish.
