What a PIA to mount a scope with Warne scope mounts

Went to change out the scope on the CZ 204 Ruger and it has to use Warne mounts. The rear mount has a stud in it to a line with and stabilize the mount but the rings/mount are one piece with the screws on top of the mounts instead on the side. You have to put the rings around the scope and connect the top screws then work the mount onto the base. It is like working backwards. You can not tighten the mount until everything is hopefully alined.

Ha! Yeah, the CZ's and Warnes aren't cookie cutter, but those are well made rings. I think there are some other ring choices, but they seem to be back ordered or out of stock more often than not. The other option is to buy a DIP rail for the 527 and then buy whatever damn rings you want.
