What are you drinking?

A touch of the Glenfiddich this evening....

Kracken rum and cola tonight. It's not mixing as well as I had hoped...

I'm not a fan of anything sour but a friend turned me on to Nature's Twist lemonade and its great. Having it with Absolute right now.

I'm off on Mondays. Just came back from the creek where we have a little "shooting range" on the edge of the property. We shot for a couple of hours.

My eldest daughter, two old friends, and myself. One of those old friends is kind of a "mentor" of sorts when it comes to bourbon or scotch.

He heard me inquiring about the peaty scotches and lo and behold, showed up with a bottle of the Lagavulin 16 that I had been wanting to try. Sitting here sipping it now, happy as I can be!

Laguvulin is much less peaty than say an Ardbeg or Laphroiag. Having said that, the Laphroiag Cask Strength is the best peated scotch I have tried. Not for the faint of heart though. And difficult to come across in NC.

Where do you have to go to get those? I looked em up on the NC ABC site and doesn't look like they sell either one.

The Laguvulin is good, but not as peaty as the Ballechin that got me onto this kick. So I need to find one that is even more peaty than Laguvulin for sure.

Appreciate the heads up on those two.

You should be able to get the 10 year old Ardbeg and Laphroaig in any ABC store that keeps a decent scotch selection. Otherwise ask for them and the clerk should be able to order them for you.

They are showing in stock for the Ardbeg (http://abc.nc.gov/Boards/StockStatus) and the Laphroaig (http://abc.nc.gov/Boards/StockStatus) I think I misspelled it earlier, sorry.

Man, you guys kinda suck. I wasn't going to have any cocktails tonight, but now you have me considering it. And that may require a trip to the ABC store too! The evening was so simple until you two started yapping.

1 can of grape Zevia on ice with two fingers of Patron. It's pretty dang good.

I'm committed to this low carb lifestyle.

Work on the Jalisco Chikn LC has been slow. It will come to fruition.

Everything at work broke down today, spent way too much time in the toolbox. Tonight I went for the liquor cabinet.
Cooler weather, why not a little peat smoke. Been too long. Slainte!
