What are you drinking?

I got myself a little something for Christmas...

Not as good as the 25,26,and 28 year old that I tasted in Scotland, but very nice...and I could afford it, lol

My buddy gave it to me for Christmas. His in laws came down from Vermont and brought it with them. I’m no a huge fan of IPAs but this one was great.

Yeah, I don't like west coast IPA but love the NEIPA. Lots of flavor but not a bitter punch to the face.

Eight years!? Seems a bit young. How was it?
Amazing how bright and sort of harsh it is. I’m really not a fan. The Laphroaig 10 is seemingly so much more mature and complex. I love the Lag 16 but not a fan of the 8. Maybe I’m spoiled but I’ll pay the extra for the more mature spirits. Sorry for the long reply but I take my scotch seriously. Cheers!

22 degrees tonight. Definitely a Laphroaig kind of night. Digging the Lore. Stay warm my friends. Cheers!

I agree, those young ones can be harsh. Interesting, but harsh.

No bourbon left ( I swear the stuff evaporates...) so I went for what was left of the 1985 Quinto Do Noval vintage port from Christmas dinner.

My go to is Jefferson very small batch, but the wife bought me some Pendleton whiskey for Christmas. It's pretty good. Definitely has a different taste, but so far, so good.

Woahh...tell me more about the Lore....
The Lore is a no age statement new release. It has a deeper, more rounded taste to me than the Laphroaig10.
You still get the smoke, but more on the finish. In a word complex. If you like Highland Park, it’s almost like a heavily peated HP. (And that’s a big compliment). I can’t wait to try it again. Cheers!
