What are you drinking?

My go to is Evan Williams 1782. It used to be Jack Daniels before I got married and needed the money elsewhere ;-)

It's not a big hot bourbon. Very smooth. Vanilla, cherries, nutty finish.

I like it. Easy sipping whiskey.

If you are looking for heat though look elsewhere.

For 40 bucks I'd buy it again for sure.

Thats good to know. Not a fan of the hot ones...a little is ok...might have to give the Wathens a try.

View attachment 161331OK, I'll be the first to admit that this is new territory for me. Go ahead and tell me how terrible this cheap scotch is. Lol...... I normally drink Maker's, Dickel 12, or Gentleman Jack, but I've seen the scotch you guys drink and I was curious. I told a guy at work about it and turns out he's a scotch drinker. This is what he suggested to start with to see if I liked it. Awhile back I had a couple airplane bottles of it so I knew it was tolerable. I had a terrible day at work and tomorrow off so I picked up a pint..... I poured it like I normally do my liquor, in a yeti tumbler with one large ice cube, and let it sit a bit before I started sipping.... I think I like it. It's definitely different but I doubt this bottle makes it through the night. Where do I go from here? @thrillhill @rantingredneck @Midliferally

Any Glenlivet or Oban will do you right. If yer branchin' out a bit, give some Irish whiskey a go- Jameson & Bushmill are both very solid choices.

Last Sunday was at a wedding and before the ceremony they grooms father broke out a bottle of Royal Salute 21 Scotch. That is by far the best tasting scotch that I have ever had. Also, had some Hirsch 8 year old rye whiskey.

After a good workout a nice drink helps.
This is a good everyday bourbon and only 93 proof. To bad it is now empty.

Had a good n'chilled bottle of Duplin's finest wine. Ready for bed.

Where do you find that?

Tennessee

Sometimes you can order it from the vendors that will ship to NC.

Whiskey Exchange out of London usually has it.

But Tennessee is only around $60 or so. All stores there don't have it of course, and I have never been able to find all 3 expressions at any one place.
