Very hard week at work. Was giving to wait until Friday for a drink but the hell with it. Started with Buffalo Trace and then cracked the bottle of Heaven s Door (first time having it). Not sure if it is in the Class of BT.

Having a little of the “ whiskey of the year”. Hot, but adding drops of H2O.....
Second millennial employee “quit” today by not calling, not showing. What is wrong with
these people? Loyalty? Work ethic? I need a drink........
 
Tonight will be a Rusty Nail night. I was just watching an old movie and someone was drinking one and figured that was a good idea

I'ma hafta pick up some Drambuie now. Love that stuff, but have never made a Rusty Nail. That will change soon.
 
It stopped rain so i figured it was a good time for a pour of Old Weller 107 and light up an Ashton vsg. Listening to a little Red White and Blues seems to bring everything together. Merry Christmas to all my friends.

Finishing the night with a little Heaven's Door. Was not sure I liked it but its just gets better. Does not have the kick like some of the others.

Lagunitas Little Sumpin' right now. May get into some Early Times BiB or some Talisker Storm here in a bit.

Not everyone in the family is a peat head so, drinking some Macallans. Followed up with Highland Park 18 and Laphroaig Lore for those of us who are. Merry Christmas to all my CFF friends! Cheers!

I got into the homemade peanut butter cups earlier, so nothing tonight lol
While Im in town tomorrow, I need to grab some more bitters, cherries, and an orange for some Ol Fashioneds. I want to use up some bottles I don't care for neat.

Do yourself a huge favor, for Bitters.

And don't forget the cherries.

I also buy blood oranges this time of year to zest and juice for our Old Fashions.

All bitters are made from orange. The Angostura "aromatic" bitters are made from Bergomat orange peels (the same ones fromEarl Grey tea).

Highly doubtful on the cherries. I dont like the texture of them.

Interesting on the bitters. They dont even hint orange to me. If I do try the actual orange bitters, Id have to leave out the orange slice. Likely would be too much.

That's good stuff for sure. If you come across a bottle of their A1 American whiskey, buy it! I prefer that one myself.
 
Cleaning up the backyard for tonight and had to have a pre-New Year Eve drink. Bambu goes great with a cigar.

The best tequila that I have had - Centenario.
Hard to get in the states. When I or a friend goes to Mexico I ask them to get me a bottle or 3. Do not need any limes when taking shots of it.
Try it and you will love it.
