Out of convenience, tidiness, or do they need to be kept out of sunlight, etc.?

    Any in the freezer?

Just keeping it simple. Definitely keep them out of sunlight but other than that they store with no issues. I have some Screwball in the freezer.

Tonight, I was looking for something different. Looked in the cabinet and found a bottle I had received as a gift. Hello, Michter's... It turns out to be very nice.

Keep them in a cool place and out of the sunlight. The only problem that I have had was the cork falling apart. The cork problem also can be a problem with an unopened new bottle too.

It's always when the bottle is empty that I have cock problems.

Had a lovely Manhattan at lunch with the missus.

Once this porterhouse settles a bit, I've got a fresh jar of corn squeezin's that needs some proper QA/QC conducted.

Two thumbs up on that new fruit jar. Smooth & a tiny bit sweet. Some spice on the back end & a lingering "afterglow". I'd guesstimate it's around 110 or so. Might hafta try to get some more of this to lay back.

Well, I'm not drinking it but......

A friend of mine is in Louisville on business and sent me these pics last night, says it's the private tasting room at the downtown Marriott.

Been working in Charleston SC the past few weeks. Being out of town sucked but when I come home I do try to bring some of those advantages back with. Like fresh oysters, fresh shrimp, fresh flounder, fresh scallops, etc.

Makes for some good whiskey pairings.

And despite having some "nicer" bourbons around, Knob Creek and Pabst will forever be my sentimental favorite to pair with raw oysters.

Glad you came by for that one @Studentofthegun

I want to change up things so I pulled this off the shelf instead of a bourbon.
And yes, I the washing machine is next to my whiskey cabinet and it makes it easy to pour a drink.

The Infinity bottles was interesting. The first sip really was not much but before it went down there was differently a unique taste. Only had one pour. Maybe after it sits for a little while the flavors will blend better together.

Going to give this another shot tonight. Not a fan of the smokey peaty Islay single malts normally, but this wasn't a cheap bottle so I'm determined to like it.

Bulleit Rye. For an inexpensive whiskey it's pretty good.

Picked up a few bottles for tasting. Isaac Bowman struck my curiosity because it followed a similar process like Angel's Envy (Port Barrel process). I.B. was also about 1/2 the cost. [IMG][IMG]
