So yeah, maybe kinda, sorta, appropriate.

If I can't make fun of myself..............

LOL!

I don’t think it’s the drinking part, but the typical context of the drinking.

...with large birds in office.

or shooting squirrels from the office chair through an open screen door, suppressed.
...after hail storms
...while listening to hits of the ‘70s
...turned up to eleven

LOL. I have a friend who has been to my house twice in the last year and we spent a weekend with other friends in Uwharrie. Usually he can't remember the night before when he drinks with me. He just can't hang....

My God, man. Is there any other way? :D

See, the trick is, you gotta craft yer buzz. I wanna enjoy the entire evening/party/shindig, not just the first couple hours.

An old Army buddy & I went up to Richmond last summer to see Michael Schenker play & crashed at a buddy of ours (from a guitar forum) place. Dude's a hard core constitutionalist, libertarian, prepper & gun guy. Good dude & has an amazing 700+ bottle bourbon collection. After the show, we're hangin' at his place & he decides a proper sampling/"tour" is in order.

Good dude, but he was absolutely not prepared to drink with a couple of retired paratroopers. Next morning, we were already back in NC before he even woke up.

Awhile back I thought I had killed my brother in law. He was puking in the trash can he'd pulled up beside the couch, while I was fixing breakfast and getting my daughter ready for school. He was still on the couch when she got home that afternoon. Lol

I think the last time I was out there I was in my supercharged Mustang Cobra.
Not the best car to drive back from Casa Thrilhill at night.
I had to play designated driver in that car, even if no one else was riding.

Okay, so tomight I am drinking Evan 1783 with coca cola.

It has been a very rough week.

I may/may not explain later.

Had a bottle of Yellowstone a couple years ago and it was good. Judgement is not in on this one.

The first time I EVER tried a peaty scotch was May of 2017.

A dear friend and forum member had taken a trip to Scotland and brought back a cute little 200 ml bottle to try. Hated it at first. Fell in love with it on the third try.

I started asking questions in this very thread three years ago this month (on page 14) and was given a lot of good advice. I could not get this particular scotch in the U.S. but the kind and knowledgeable folks here steered me in the right direction to find ones that were comparable.

Then, fortunately, another kind friend and forum member was able to find me a 700ml bottle in London and shuttle it back.

The third time I tried it and fell in love with peaty scotch some friends had come down from Asheville to spend the weekend with us. Those same friends are here this weekend.

So we are taking a stroll down memory lane for brunch this morning.

Yes, I drank peaty scotch before lunch this morning.

Because I can! LOL!

But yeah, beautiful day for a stroll so to speak!

I am still not sure exactly what game it is I am playing, or what exactly the rules are, but I am winning! LOL!

Some what of a downer day. Not really sure why. Could not decide if I wanted a drink or not. Had to cook some burgers on the grill so that answered my question.
