What blade are you carrying today?

I picked up one of Leatherman's new Skeletool KB for a lightweight summer knife (or at least for when I don't want to carry my Skeletool). I've been pretty pleased with it so far.

Went light today (again) and just did a Vic Alox, its a Cadet model.
Aluminum scales, very slim.
A nice gentleman's knife/multitool.

But I did miss having pliers

I wanted a lighter carry than most of my full-sized Leatherman tools will give
So I went with a keychain sized PS4 from LM and an auto Benchmade.

I cant do just a knife, so many times Im using the other tools (mainly screwdrivers and pliers), the PS4 is a great complimentary tool to the blade.

My Skeletool went to Oregon for a new blade, so the Sidekick has been used the last couple of days. It's been pretty good for a cheaper tool, and not too heavy either.

Ive said for a long time that I think the Sidekick, and its sister tool, the Wingman, are AMAZING tools!

Ive never paid more than 20 bucks for a new one (bought some used for under 10), and they are really great.
Considering the tools on board, especially that handy 'package-opener,' its an amazing value that is still made right here in the amazing US of A.

What happened to the skeletool blade?

They are hard to beat for money. I might have paid $30ish at Home Depot. The blade is hard to one hand open, but it may just need some use on it to lossen up.

I broke the Skeletool blade tip prying on something. I tried to buy a blade from them, but of course they wanted to fix it. I really like the minimalist approach of it and carry everyday.

I carry the Skeletool CX (carbon fiber) often because of the small size/weight.
Lately its been the Wave, which Ive not carried in some time.
Depending on what pants or shorts I am wearing will dictate which leatherman I carry.

And something tells me that you'll spend far less on the shipping plus five bucks to LM than it'd be to get a blade and then spend your time taking her apart!

Speaking of, i need to get some tools together to send in for warranty work.
I got a Surge replaced two years ago when I was in the LM store, guy looked at it, went to the back and brought me out a new gen2 Surge with the replaceable wirecutters!

Ive not seen that model before (though I mostly stick to the ALOX models with the aluminum scales)

This is by far the most useful easy to get to edc knife I have had. Now this is on my side everyday there is an Esee 3 in my EDC bag that is also with me everyday I have an esee 5 in my GHB that stays in my truck except nights lol. Not to mention the junglas in my BOB did I say I like esee?

Been carrying this Opinel since July and really like the carbon steel blade. No problems with this thing getting super sharp. Haven't even sharpened it yet, just strop it every now and then. Put the patina on to fight rust and it's done well. I still oil it occasionally. Only complaint is how much room it takes up in a pocket.

Just picked up a ZT0350BW after reading through the Expensive Knife for EDC thread (or whatever it's called) and I think the idiot above pulled some Jedi mind trick on me :)

Ozark Trail lockblade, $3.87 at Walmart. I have about ten of these in various colors and styles. Not the best blade, but they're sharp and cheap and I can them stashed everywhere. I have a few higher quality knives, but these end up in my pocket more than anything else. And if I lose this one, or somebody borrows it, I don't really care-

None, I'm sitting on an airplane waiting to depart for Wichita. I'll pick one up as soon as I get there.

I'm back to carrying my Gerber Combat folder (the big one) as I lost my Syderco Anderson Endura Monday just before I flew out. I did have one of those Infidels but gave it to my son.

I've been very impressed with their new offerings that are made in the USA. @thrillhill has/had a bunch that I've been able to play with and for the most part I really like them. Glad to see them reviving the made in USA and striving to be better than they were.

Grayman Dua day today..... hard to believe it's the "small" folder

I bought this CRKT Fossil a couple weeks ago and so far I like it. it has a rather large heavy blade for a folder and should be a great knife

Still carrying this knife. It’s been a damn good one considering how much I use a knife. I took it completely apart this morning. It was a nasty mess. Cleaned it up with some wadding polish I found in the shed, put it back together, sharpened it and it’s like new again. Probably gonna buy another one of these soon before they stop making them.
