I like the grips on this 19-1 however they do not have any identifying marks that I can see. No numbers, letters, names, insignias etc. Anybody recognize them? Thanks in advance.

I was told GPA was "Georgia Police Academy". This particular revolver being #2 of who knows how many.

I’ve also not seen any grips like those...never ever.

Look nice though and I like the way they attach.

I'm stumped, never seen anything like those. They look like they would work just fine. Did you take the grips off and see if there are any identifying marks inside?

Those are definitely NOT a "Georgia Police Academy" issue. All revolvers were issued with S&W factory original grips and you were not allowed to change until you graduate and then it's at your own risk.
They remind me of some of the stuff Jay Scott used to put out.
Nice looking mod 19 but someone has rolled the top edge of the side plate, probably from improper removal technique.

BB- I was told the revolver was a GPA range gun hence the lettering/number on the sides. The grips-who knows when and where they came from.
See that side plate top edge on used smiths a lot unfortunately as most people want to pry them off.

I assumed they were pacmayrs.
@Slacker might be onto something here. That diamond texture is very reminiscent of old school Pach's.
I've written Pachmayr several times and they're great. Always got back to me in about 3 days. Once I asked them what diamond pro grips would fit my model 4510 Judge, because the site was vague about it, and they wrote me and told me which ones. Then they updated their site and listed my Judge under the right grips.

My first reaction was Pachmayr also.

Available on EBay....Black Green Pink Orange

Buyers choice $25 plus shipping.

If the grips only have one screw they are not the extended grips.

You the man! Thanks Tom.
Many PPC shooters used the Davis grips, any change the gun also has action work?
I have shot a few PPC matches at the Georgia outdoor range. There were always a few shooters there from FLEC and FBI.

My ppc revolver was made by Bill Davis. Those grips came with it. They are a little longer so that you could get a better grip, can grab bottom with support hand.Mostly thumb and index finger. I met Bill Davis at Beltsville,Md ppc match ,that's what he said about the longer grip

The Academy issued no guns, students were expected to show up with their own, including leather.
