In the parking lot, dropped my daughter off at the p/t holiday job and noticed a hood up on a honda,
ask the young man if he was good, he had another helping him with jump cables and a pickup truck, old but classic.
Turns out it would not crank, no horn beep or headlights, DEAD. I think battery had short cell, anyway got him
started with my battery jump box, he was so thankful, he was stuck there since noon and I got him started around 3:45.

He told me he asked so many other shoppers if they would give him a jump and no takers.
Both young men were super polite, called me Sir, told him James is fine.:)

This was a good time to help, my jump box was over six years old and I wanted to get a new battery for it, just kept forgetting about it, I ordered one today.

I’ve been working on my wife’s sewing table here and there.
Got to a milestone today with it.

Started with a pile of wood.

Milled, cut, chopped, sawed, mortised

Then glued.

This is all recycled base molding, trim and crown molding that was heading for a dumpster.
Next will be drawer slides, drawers and fronts, front and back aprons and two more legs.

Made my heart skip a beat there. Lord, do I miss makin' sawdust. Beautiful work.

Well it wasn’t today, and I’m not good with rules...

The last week I’ve been turning wood. This was done with hickory that was going into the firewood pile.
Not great work. I haven’t used a lathe since high school.

Better in your driveway then on the highway.
Got a battery tester # 37800 from Northern Tool, on promo, $23. was $50 and used $5 coupon.
Cary NC store had five left, online in stock with free ship to the store if you want one of these, nice digital unit.

Tried it out on my battery and tested as fail, battery was marginal the last few cold days,
off to Sears to get no cost replacement, only eight months old.

I replaced the six year old SLA battery in my NPower combo jump box, compressor and inverter.

Remembered just how much I don't enjoy cutting spot welds.
Accelerated salt's wrath.
Admired the genius of Ford noise, vibration, and harshness engineers, open cell foam between wheelwell and fender... brilliant.

An '07 should not look like this.

I got some boot repair goo for a very old pair of comfortable hiking boots.
The rear soles had detached somewhat so I re attached them.
Now, hopefully they are good to go!

Really simple stuff but it all needed to get done and was satisfying to complete.

Wife’s 4Runner:
replaced cabin and engine air filters
checked all of the fluids, had to top off the power steering.
Replaced her blown tag light with new LEDs.
Took it in to get alignment and inspection.
It’ll get an oil change in Feb

My Tacoma:
made a little harness to simplify hooking up future switches; common ground, illumination, power
Replaced my tag lights with LEDs since I had extras
Finally hooked up the switch for my new ditch lights (front LED pods)
Did some wire management for the ditch lights

Lights have amber diffuser covers on for daily lens protection

Finished the valve adjustment on my $1000 Honda CR-V I bought. I also replaced the spark plugs and air filter. I added a Pabst Blue Ribbon Tao handle as a shift knob I had laying around. Ordered some All Terrain tires for it, a small lift kit, and both o2 sensors. I also purchased oil and a filter for tomorrow.

I changed a backup light in my Honda CRV to a brighter led model. In the process, I managed to drop the new bulb, still in its package, down inside the fender after I had pulled the taillight out. It fell down into a plastic trim panel which would have been a real PITA to remove, but luckily by banging on the underside of the panel I got the bulb to fall down to where I could get hold of it through a drain hole, so my stupid mistake was not as stupid as it might have been. :D

My $260 set of All Terrains came in the mail as well as my o2 sensors I ordered. When changing those sensors I noticed the cat was making a rattling noise. I ordered a new cat and then had a crack in the plastic of my radiator so ordered a new Koyo radiator. I picked up a brand new $15 radio from Walmart for the CRV project I have going as well.

Tried to change the window regulators in my daughter’s Xterra but Rock Auto sent the wrong part for the driver’s side window. At least I got the pieces on that side loosened up and got actual practice on the passenger side for when the replacement part comes in Thursday

Took my 5 shelf rack, added two more from another unit I just bought.
Tonight I did that and then put it back in garage and sorted/organized all the ammo on the shelves, making it less a mess, easier to get to things.

Nope
Neither did tractor supply/or orileys/advance/
My HD had a 21mm socket... didn't check for wrenches....as I was about to buy it but instead opted for an impact socket kit that had 21&22mm.
Hope you find what you're looking for. Have you checked harbor freight??

Set the chain tension on a couple chainsaws and did the “muffler mod” on mine. Still have to tune the carbs.

Scored a crazy awesome deal at Lowes and got $43 chain saws for myself and a handful of friends including @blackbelt1222 and happened to run into @BigWaylon while in the checkout and found him one in another store.

Poulan Pro 42cc 18” reg $170, clearance $43, and 40cc 16” for $36. Some stores are higher but you can return it and rebuy it at a store that has the lower price. I bought 3 displays.

After delivering a few.

Installed a new Pioneer Headunit in my project Honda CRV and installed the lift kit.

Installed a Dual brand Bluetooth headunit that I bought at Walmart for $14 in my Ford Lightning to replace the JVC radio that was in it.

I got the rods n pistons put in my next motor. Going to get the cam in today, and if I'm ambitious, bolt a head on and check valve to piston clearance to make sure these pistons are going to work with the cam I plan on running.

I mentioned this before, but I had a 36x14x72 wire mesh shelving rack for my ammo, 5 shelves. Was decent, but because of so few shelves, you couldnt stack up very high and left a lot of unused space.
So I bought a second to scavenge two shelves (I'll put the other one together later with 3 shelves for storage tubs).

Then I added some whiteboard to the back.

Next I'll need to get more stackable bins to put on the shelves - as you can see in the 2nd pic, second shelf: Ive got a lot of random things in one of them - scopes, muzzle brakes, shotgun chokes etc etc, I want to get that more organized and less cluttered.

In other ones that are pictured I have AR (556 and 15-22) mags, pistol mags in another

Just like to keep things organized and tidy

It's a work in progress and, Im sure, one day, I'll need another rack to keep more ammo on!
