None right now, I only took one of the side so I could look up the model etc

It was my grandfathers, a 2007 model.
I THINK it was a gift for something from my grandmother. I know he loved that mower.
He, unfortunately, passed in November.
I miss him greatly.

But now I get to use his mower, knowing how happy he was when on it cutting the grass.

Its been sitting for approximately 2 years. It'll take some work (oil change, drain any gas out and put fresh, and, Im sure, a new battery)
But mechanically its sound, he took great care of it.

Did a little clean up and put some stuff out for Habitat to pick up in the morning,
Got some other cases and boxes dug out to post up some trades for too, hopefully get them posted in the classified tomorrow,

Picked up my new torch and tanks from @Mike79 .

Stopped in Wake Forest at a place called Gooey's, will report on the food later.

Is this some kind of sexual code?

I went to town today and while sitting at a traffic light, I smelled a little fuel. When I got home, I looked under the hood and there was a little diesel on the fuel filter cap and down the side of the housing. Weird.

So I put the wrench on the cap and it tightened about a quarter turn!

I am completely thorough with maintenance tasks and cannot imagine why it was loose. It has been on for 4K plus and I have not smelled a thing.

Cleaned it all up with purple power and the hose and no leak. I guess I will have to keep an eye on it until time to replace. Maybe the o-ring compressed a little or ... I don't know. Fixed I guess but a little unsettling.

wayne, which, dont get me wrong, is a good thing. but i'm going to miss that huge work-space, nothing i've come across up here has anything like it unless you lay down some serious cash.
But the house is sold?

I have 1000 sq feet of walkout basement, of which maybe 10x30 is my shop. I'll never find that anywhere else.

My 1971 garage (you know, when cars were truly ginormous) is barely big enough for a Sonata and a Ranger

i got lucky, the last owner built this. the actual garage that was built with the house is the same as yours, big enough for a yugo.

What?!!!! You deserve better than this Lawless. I'll take that 250 off your hands so you won't be dealing with issues like this!!! Lol

Saturday, I did this. Oil and filter change on my Outlander. It's ludicrous to have to do all of that for a five minute oil change.

On Sunday, I replaced the thermostat, the ECT sensor, the radiator cap, the upper and lower radiator and heater hoses, and the coolant in my son's TJ. No pictures of that job.

Bought a 30gal plastic drum the other day.
Today I drilled my holes in it and started cleaning it out (had some sort of cleaner in it).
It wont be ready to start using for a few more days, want to make sure its really well rinsed out.

But going to start composting in it soon

Brakes and rotors with my 4yo daughter. She was the perfect partner today... stuck by my side the whole project to the last lug nut.

Believe or not, I hung curtains in my garage last night. Trying to tighten up the privacy a bit.

I'm also building a quilting table for the missus in the garage. 4'x6' top, doors, drawers...gonna look a lot like a kitchen island in our bonus room.

Got bored while waiting for the lawn to dry out before mowing and changed air filters in the car and truck. I can't get over the $ difference. Both were STP and the size is within 1/2" of each other.

Cruze = $35
F150 =$15

I ordered a K&N for the cabin of the F150 through Amazon. ROI is two washings. ;)

I use the frame from an old cabin filter to make my own from a house HVAC filter. By far cheaper as I get multiple cabin filters from one house filter.

While not 'garage' per se, I did do this

When I got the house the front door of the mailbox wouldnt stay shut, I typically came home and its down, open to the elements.
New mailbox is about $50+, and, besides the door, its in fine condition
So a buck and a few minutes later I solved my door issue

Not actually in the garage but right in front of the door cause tthe shop is too full of jun aaa stuff, spider gears in my buddies 2000 Silverado. 260K on it.

Cleaned up my chain saw after doing some work for the in laws yesterday, and broke in my new string trimmer. It's the most I have ever paid for a "weed eater" but hopefully it'll last a while.

Tighted chains on the round hay baler, serviced two tractors that were way over due for oil and fuel filter changes, changed broke blade on discbine and mowed 15 acres of hay. Just another fun day around the farm.

Axle bearings. Pads and rotors because they were soaked in gear oil and the rotors were a little worn.

There should be a cuss word that means "axle bearings".

A shop identified bad axle bearings in a vehicle of mine many years ago, changed that side, then discovered the bead bearing was on the other side.

The shop owner killed himself that year. Not sure if it was my car that pushed him over the edge.

Working on an old 1982 McCulloch ProMac 1010S
Was bought new by my Dad. I can't tell you how many cords of Californa Oak we cut with this thing.
I inherited it a couple years ago after not seeing it for 30 yrs,
I fired it up. Cut down and bucked up a a big holly tree with it last year . It was giving me fits at the end there, so I just put it up for the time being.

Well, yesterday I found the problem. Bad fuel line. The original must have went bad way back and someone mickey'd up another out of parts and pieces.
Googled around and found a replacement. Then ordered 2
Hope to get it up and running again shortly. I've got another big holly I want to take down, and a Cedar, I want to make a strip canoe out of.

Dad had one if not older never was sure of the year model but it was used for years till we finally bought him a newer saw couple years ago. It was one of the first saws I ever ran. Great saw but no anti vibe and rattle your head loud with out hearing protection.

I've got a couple of things going on today.

First up is new tires and brake pads for the Road King, along with a new accessory plug so that I can charge a cell phone or iPad while I'm riding.

Road king 2017.jpg

After the bike is back together, next up is painting the fire bowl and my Lang 60" pig cooker. I've decided to sell the Lang and am cleaning it up a bit. There were some light surface rust areas on it that we water blasted on Thursday, and I'm prepping it for a fresh coat of BBQ Black paint. New this model is $4,200 plus about 300 tax; I'd like to get $2,900 for mine.

Wow, guess my day was boring compared to those...

I drove the Cruze to HHI last weekend and noticed it stayed in a gear before shift a bit longer that I remembered. This is the wife's car... The Check Engine/Transomthing notice came on twice. Asked if she saw it before... Did I mention this is the wife's car?

So I check the online sources and find out the ATF should be changed at 40k, what?!? Nothing in the manual and all other auto trans experience was, unless it's extreme duty, no service. It now has 83k...

Well I found that Dextron VI is big bucks ($7+/qt) Plus to get close to 100% fluid change you need to do the drain twice at 4.2qts each drain. Did the first drain and change then drove it around the block. Wow, it shifts real nice now. Going to get the next 4qts and changing again after a 15 mile trip tomorrow.
