What did you do in the reloading room today?

AA1680. That is what I loaded 48.0gn of into the 460 S&W 300gn load pictured above.

yeah when I load my 454 I use h110 to, about 29gn behind a 300gn bullet in my Alaskan, that's a hoot to shoot

never tried aa1680 for that round maybe ill try soon

Will that stay under subsonic? With 14 grns. I've read most are running 10-11 grns.
Or you are not trying for that? What veloc. Are you looking for with that much 1680 ?

oh and with the 203s out of a 8.5 inch barrel with 10gn they only go about 75 yards shooting at about a 30degree angle. they are fat and slow, I'm trying to get these out too 100 with a bit more of a flatter trajectory

They only list that powder for the heavy bullets, at least for 460. It is a compressed load, too. The max in the book was 49.6gn but I was already squeezing the powder as it was.

I have not tried H110 in the 460 yet. I really like N-110 in my 357mag revolver loads, and the other 460 loads I mentioned are using that. Don't know if I will get to shoot those this weekend or not.

I have not looked at 454 loads yet (I can shoot those in the 460). I can also shoot 45LC.

Loaded up some .38 Special loads today with Unique and WSP primers. 150 rds using some home cast Lee TL-124 TC and 10 rds of Speer Shotcapsuls with #9 shot.

CD

Cranked out my 1000th round or so since I started reloading in in January. Lee Classic Turret, 124 grain 9mm, Win231, and CCI 500. Just one problem round early on when I forgot the powder. Super accurate loads for me.

Yep. My other 650 is 22 years old and still running good. Came across a deal on another that was too good to pass up.

Based on earlier test load workups, 44mag, 240gn Bayou Bullets, I decided to load up 10 rounds each of a couple of loads that looked promising. BE86 and 2400 powders. Should give 1250 and 1400 fps respectively. I will probably shoot these at 25 or 50 yards to test for accuracy.

I like BE-86, its so versatile. I use it primarily in .380 and occasionally in 10mm. Then here you are loading it in 44mag.

I really like BE86. If I could only have one pistol powder, it would be this. I've used it in 9mm, 40, 45acp, 38spl, 357mag, and now 44mag. Jury is still out on 44mag, I've still got some testing to do.

It works really well in 357mag. It does not give full magnum velocity, but is only about 150fps slower with 158gn bullets, and makes a stout plinking load. It is the least position sensitive powder in 38spl and 357 mag that I have found (for powders that don't completely fill the case).

It works well in 45acp, but like a lot of powders it does burn a little dirty at the low end of the charge range. I like Clays better for 45acp plinking loads for that reason.

Loaded 200 coated 133s over some Bullseye for SWGC tomorrow. Conveniently it appears to shoot well.

A cousin gave me three ammo boxes full of mixed ammo ranging from 22 shorts to 30/40 Krag to old shotgun slugs. Many were handgun rounds. Some were reloads. I am in the process of deciding which handgun rounds, 9mm Luger, 45 Auto, 357 Magnum, and 38 Special, are factory and which are reloads. I am pulling the bullets on the reloads to repack them with new powder and primers. I have finished pulling all the 45 Auto I am going to pull but have a large baggie containing 9mm Luger cartridges that seem to be reloads that I am about 1/3 of the way through. The 38 Special and 357 Magnum will have to wait a while. Some of those rounds have been around quite a while.

It sure would have been nice if the fellow who loaded these rounds had labeled them. I still would be pulling the reloads, but determining which rounds are reloads would be a lot easier.

Went to Harbor Freight the other day, one of the things I picked up was a small grease gun. So I followed this guys instructions on what to grease and what not to. It is smoother, I admit that for sure. One thing that's bothering me is that I have a squeak. I can not figure out where in the blue blazes it's coming from! A couple of things in the video was different from his press, and mine. 1. the shell plate bottom was different, I guess a design change or for what ever reason, maybe because it was a different caliber?? Not sure. 2. his press had an oiling place for the ram it's self. Mine doesn't have that. Maybe some of the grease from one of the fittings lub it too? again, not sure. I did put a small amount of oil on my ram though.

I do like this guy, even though he's a Yankee LOL

Processed 300 pcs of 44mag brass. Resized, trimmed, flared, ready to load.

just finished 534 rounds of 45 ACP for my S&W 625. 230 grain Berry's over 3.6 grains of Clay's. I size and deprime, then manually clean all the primer pockets, then hand prime with Federal LPP, the reload.

Loaded up some more 460 S&W test loads. Looking for a reduced recoil plinking load. I used Bayou coated 45LC 250gn bullets, one batch with all the Trailboss powder that would fit (14.5gn) and also some Accurate 5744 powder. Took them up to the range this morning, along with some other test loads I've been waiting to shoot. I think I may have found a good match with the 5744 powder, at around 29-30gn, gives about 1200fps.

Hmmm not sure if this qualifies or not.
1st I went in and started putting the stuff away I bought from Catfish.
next I set back and trying to visualize what I wanted to do, with the space that I have.
then, I couldn't help myself, I put on the the hopper I bought to go on top of my tubes for the cases. on my load master. Threw in a few hand fulls and WOW it was full quick! OK so I was wanting to empty my WSF powder to go back to my titegroup. So, what better way than to make more booolits! And since I had got my order in from Midstate, I decided to go ahead and pull the sizer die(from another set of 9mm dies, and replace the primer knock out pin(I ordered 3) I was in oh maybe 30 or so(had already rotated the tubes) (Oh and BTW found one case that was upside down) and all of a sudden POW!!!!!!!!! Pieces flew!!!!! Not sure what happened, or rather why what happened happened, but I broke my priming arm in half! I found the spring, which conveniently found it's way to the top of my bench. So, I got on Lee's site, ordered the parts, which were free, but I have to pay shipping, which shipping is more than the parts! But the worst part, I have to wait on the new parts, before I can operate the machine again. I may have to play with one or two of the other presses, and make some with the single stage, who knows. OR,............ I might take the time sand down my bench and stain it and polyurethane it, since, I will have time now.

Oh the choices! Hope y'all had a better day in "the room"!

Decided I would work up some rounds for my Lever 357 Rifle. Loaded up some 180gr RNFP powder coated on 12 gr of 2400. Will try them out tomorrow out to about 75 yds. Should be around 1500 fps.

I unloaded about 150 9mm Luger rounds at the range today and loaded all those cases plus another 100 when I got home. I am presently using 124 grain FMJ Delta Precision bullets with CCI #500 primers and 5.3 grains of Power Pistol.

Running low on 9mm, started few months ago, 7000 rds of 9s, 1000 rds of 38s and just finish 1000 of 45s
That should last to the end of the year.

Wife and kids gone for the weekend = quality time in the reloading room!!! PM'd the 650 and lubed it, then cranked out 1,000 rounds of 9 mm - 147 Blue Bullets over 3.0 g of TiteGroup. Almost makes me glad it was too overcast this weekend to be confident enough that I could run the chronograph to drive out to the range.

Oh, happy day.

Set up to load .243. Used the Hornady OAL gauge for the first time; really like it. Loaded 4 test rounds with Sierra 100 gr Spitzer bullets and IMR 4064.

Emptied the 9mm cases out of the tumbler.

"Honed" my .356" Lee push-thru to actually size .356" from .355". Hoping this will reduce/eliminate leading I'm experiencing since goin to it with PC bullets.

Replaced dull blade that came new in HF chop saw, cut, formed, trimmed some 300BO.

Everything I read showed 3.2-3.6 of Titegroup for a 147gr, with most running 3.3-3.4. How does the 3.0 run?

Pistol? AR? Something else?
Suppressed or not?

Working on setting up the Rock Crusher Jr for 300 BO with the RCBS Small Base die set. I've had trouble with Lee dies not forming my converted 223 brass so as to pass the case gauge. That could have been operator error or not but after the requisite amount of fiddling I got it working fine.

Loaded up some of the 240gr jobs from MBC and took a few out back with the SBR and can to make sure they cycle. All OK, so I'll see what they chrono. I'm loading 11gr. 1680 in an 8" barrel

Loaded 120 rounds of 300 blk 203gn.
Created another 100 or so cases and setup he press to make some 110s.

After this I need to switch h back to 9mm as I'm running low, only about 500 rounds left so I need to get that way up.

My son and I are running it in a G34 and M&P Pro, both with 1 in 16 twist aftermarket barrels and an OAL of 1.164 in.. I have chronographed myself and twice at matches. They run right at a 132 power factor, giving me the "plus 5" cushion I want for margin of error. It is a solid shooting round.

I am not sure where I got the starting load, but I have loaded some at 2.9 g and they came in right on 125 PF. Too close for comfort. I am relatively certain that the starting load was for a lead bullet as the Blue Bullets are polymer coated.

Finished prepping 200 case of 308 - sized, trimmed, primer pockets uniformed, flash holes deburred. All Winchester headstamp. now need to finish up the PPU headstamps

Loaded up 50 rounds of 44mag, 240gn Bayou coated bullets, 2400 powder.

Loaded up test rounds for reduced recoil 460 loads, using 45acp Zero 230gn FMJ bullets and 5744 powder. Looking for around 1200fps. I liked the results using 5744 with coated 45LC 250gn bullets, and I think I will try some full-throttle loads using that powder and the Hornady bullets that are rated for that caliber.

Got up early this morning not planning on doing much of anything and before you know it I had 100 pieces of 6.5 CM brass all prepped and primed. A good Monday morning it was! Now if it would just stop RAINING!!
