What did you do in the reloading room today?

Haha! ;) I tumble it with about a tablespoon of NuFinish in fine corncob just until the annealing starts to disappear. About 45 min.
It's Nosler 77gr OTM Comp bullets. The new Nosler stuff is as good as SMK imo.
And Shooter's Pro Shop (Nosler's online dump site) runs them on sale time-to-time at about ½ the price of SMK.

Good to know! I just bought a box of 77gr Nosler Custom Competition and a box of 77gr SMK last week. Haven't had a chance to load either of them up yet but definitely looking forward to seeing how they perform!

Feel free to send some load data my way if you want, I won't mind! :)

I think we need a .223 match loading thread with all the interest lately. Seems everyone is getting the long range/small hole bug. I for one wouldn't mind learning and sharing some groups.

been prepping 750+ .308/7.62 cases in anticipation of alot of AR10 shooting over the fall and winter. Grade 3 LC brass from Midway that I bought from a private party and some commercial stuff. Almost broke down and bought a Giraud or WFT for .308, but just got a .308 die for the Lee *powered* quick trim, adjust it for 2.012 trim length, and proceeded to work. Should end up with alot of very good LC 12 reloading brass.

Also sized a few cast 158gr SWCs in .357 when I got tired and the battery on the drill died.

May start to cast a few nights this week since the weather looks perfect.

NOTHING!!!!!

I've got nothing left to load. I have plenty of powder and cases but no bullets for fotay left. I'm contemplating buying a conversion for .223 but it's a little pricy for me since I don't shoot that much .223. If you like reloading, do not buy a 1050, it's eats all your components.

Like x10 and I just moved into a 650. No more 9mm components...

Holla at ya boy if you want some 200gr Bayou pills. I have a few cases sitting on the floor in my shop that I won't be needing for a while.

Sorted the last of my range pick up brass, now to wet tumble it and get it looking good again.

For all you guys needing components, Xtreme bullets is having their Columbus day sale, 10% off and free shipping, if you like the plated stuff. They actually work pretty well for me, very accurate, even at major power factor speeds through my open gun.

Cleaned the guns after a visit to TSA last night (date night for me and Mrs Toprudder.) Sorted brass, 9mm, 40, and 45. Came back with more brass than I shot.

I bought some Roller P-mags and want to try them out so I loaded 100 223 with 23.1 of Tac and Hornady 55 gr SP. Should run about 3000 f/sec.

This is the first reloads that I have done in over a month.

The Forster CoAx is an impressive machine to say the least.

If you do not already have one, get a concentricity gauge and the Co-Ax will really impress y0u with the reduction in run out. That is where it really shines. Of course that means making some practice ammo on the old equipment for comparison.

Have you tried that CFE yet? I have been using H335 and am looking to replace it with TAC or CFE.

Thanks for the heads up on the concentricity gauge. I will have to get one.

I have loaded a few loads using CFE. It's good powder I'm sure, but so far I've had better results from Varget. I loaded some 77gr SMK and Nosler Custom Comp with CFE the other night and I'm not sure if it was the powder, me, or the gun but the results were less than impressive. I hope to have more time to play around in the reloading room tomorrow. I think the CFE will be fine, just need to find the sweet spot.

you go component poor!

Thanks. I was hoping to stay away from Varget. Great powder, as evidenced by how fast it disappears from the shelves, but I already suffer from Hogdgon's delivery from Australian Munnitions with H4350 and am not looking to double my frustration. May have to give TAC a try. Getting pretty good groups with H335, but only right at 1 MOA. Maybe I should be happy with that, but I won't know until I screw around with it some more.

CFE didn't do very well at all for me til I got toward the top end of published data with 55s, haven't tried it with heavies, read many accounts of the same. Been sitting on some 77 Nos CCs for years, should load 'em but I never shoot rifle anymore. Varget, and RL15 were always top performers with heavier bullets.

Lubed and sized some 200gr Lee SWCs, then loaded 40 or so over some Clean Shot to have something to run thru the 1911 for testing.

Cleaned some brass from my range session on Fri. Should do some reloading on a rainy Monday tomorrow.

Cleaned out my ammo bag and put ammo away and sorted and cleaned some brass.

Had a friend come over to the shop yesterday, he wants to start handloading, so I gave him some hands-on with my press and gave him a quick lesson. Went over a list of everything he will need to buy. In exchange, he brought over his compound bow and gave me a quick archery lesson. Dang, something else I have to buy now.

Finished prepping the most recent batch of 223 brass, got the everything but the power measure set up on the Dillon. Going to play around with some X-Terminator & TAC.

Working up a load for the G17L and G34 that I can use interchangeably with best possible accuracy.

Wet tumbled some brass. Loaded up a few hundred rounds of 300 Black Out subsonics (220 Gr Leather Necks) on the single stage press. That took a couple of hours. Thank God I have a progressive reloading press for everything else I do !

Loaded the last of the 240gn coated 44mag bullets I had, using BE86. Good plinking rounds. Then I made some test loads using 240gn plated Xtreme bullets, to see how they will perform. These will be for my 10" Ruger Blackhawk.

I got some Berger 224 73gn OTM bullets on Saturday, so I created some test loads with those. Varget powder, 23.2 - 25.0gn. These will be for my 20" AR.

Tried to load some 55 gr 223.... varget can says 27.5 gr. Guess what barely fits in the case? 27.5 gr of varget with no room for bullet!

Max loads of Varget typically are compressed. "Varget Crunch".

Last night I worked up some test loads with Hornady 60SP bullets and VV N-140 powder. Same thing - max load was halfway up the neck. I was able to vibrate the cases and get the powder to settle some, but it was still a compressed load.

I'm a month or two past due in taking this pic, but I finally (thanks to my wife's Kombucha addiction) collected enough identical glass bottles to store small quantities of projectiles.

Some labels came straight off the packaging, while some had to be made by using logos off of websites or invoices.
