What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

I'm not much for the tacticool stuff but I ordered a badass ambi short throw selector switch, I'll put it on my cheap AR to test and see if it's worthy to put on one of my higher end AR's.

Ordered a couple 1k bulk cases of Federal AE223. They have a $50 rebate per case going on and that makes for a pretty sweet price per round.

So the ammo arrived and kind of mixed feelings, seems the place was out of the 1k bulk packs so they shipped 4 500-round cases of boxed ammo. All well and good but now instead of sending in 2 UPC codes from the bulk case for the rebate I'll be cutting out 100 UPC codes from the individual boxes...

No you don't, I received the same cases and called the Federal hotline for promotions (Please call (866) 269-5194 for rebate and promotion related questions. ) and was told they don't need the 20rd box UPC's. Each brown box with 25 boxes of 20 rds has a UPC you can use. Or the lady told me the main box of 1000 rds upc could be used but mine didn't have one so I used the two from the smaller brown boxes. You can call the number I posted to verify. The brown box UPC should be something like 0-29465-09348-8, and if you remove the first and last number that should be the UPC that's on the small red boxes.

Ambi doesn't do anything for me, but short throw is fantastic if you throw your safety on often.

I've been holding off trying one until I had all four of my AR's setup the way I wanted them, now before I start another complete build I figured I give them a try to see if an ambi would make the list for for my next build. I see pics of AR's and some at the range that are loaded down with a lot of gimmicky bolt on crap that serve no real necessary purpose, don't want to be that guy.

8 boxes (all they had in stock) of Hornady 6.8 V-Max from Academy. On "clearance" at $10.98...and got free shipping.

Stopped by my local Wal-Mart after work 40 minutes ago. Picked up 2 boxes of Winchester 555 count 22LR. Also picked up 15 boxes of Perfecta .380 for $5 each. The associate stated they were going to quit carrying Perfecta and "for some reason they sent us these." They no longer have any boxes of Perfecta .380.

Some what of a follow up. Went to Greenville today and stopped by Walmart. They had 5 boxes of Perfecta .380 and the price was $9.97. I asked the associate if the price was correct and she said it was as she sold some this morning at that price. It was the ONLY Perfecta they had in the display case. Even at $9.97 I bought them as it was $5 a box cheaper than other brands. Just find it odd that the smaller store had it for $5/box and it was $9.97 at the larger store.

It's all about traiting. Stores traited to continue carrying will not get a markdown but stores that are not to carry anymore have markdowns drop in their system.

Although my understanding is that all the stores are supposed to be dropping g perfecta so it's possible it could just be a supervisor not up to date on their price changes.

Greenville Walmart is out of my district though so hard to say there.

10-8 serrated plain rear sight for my SA 1911. Don't like the 2 dot rear with FO front.

Just ordered a threaded Blacklist barrel for my Glock 19.

A BUNCH of tee shirts. Like 60.
Pics to come.
Or, well, pics posted already somewhere else on here.

Dang it.
15 more boxes of 6.8. This time S&B from PSA @ $11.99/bx.

200 rd 40gr Win Super X 22
200rd 40gr Browning BPR 22
20rd Barnes TacXPD 185gr 45

The 45 was damn pricey but I gotta have some and this stuff seems pretty good.

@Ikarus1
Brownells shipped pretty quickly for free shipping... Aaaaand my 1911 is complete, exactly as I wanted it. :)

Pretty much the combo I'm moving to on pistols, love a U notch, like serrated.
Full size 1911 may get that same 10-8 combo. Wish the Warren rear on my Glock was serrated. Had to go Ameriglo rear to get serrated and U notched rear on my M&P, slapped a Dawson front on. Black on black Warrens (they serrate this one) on the 1911, will probably go fiber once I lock in on front sight height. I may keep the Shield a little different with some tritium vials.

In the last week ordered loading stuff for 300BLK, Lee 3 die set, trimmer gauge, and some plastic cutting guide off eBay for converting 5.56 brass.
May have to build an annealing contraption, have been kicking it around for some time, cause I need more projects to half finish.

Guy I work with bought a Savage model 12fv in 6.5 creedmoor. He bought it to take on a hunt out west.

He bought a rifle with a 26" heavy barrel to take out west. Decided he didn't want to tote it. He bought it on sale at Cabelas and picked it up in the garner store. Decent gun. Still not much on Savage factory stocks but they have improved since the first one I bought 10 years ago. So it's mine now. Now I gotta save enough for a scope first, then a stock
