What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Apex flat enhancement trigger for my p320. It was free because of the trade in for pre upgrade triggers.

Wilson Combat "Bullet Proof" fitted grip safety for 1911, that I'll have to fit,
and a HiViz front sight that I'll have to stake.
Could get interesting.

Fitting a GS is not so bad.
Staking generally doesn't go great without the proper tool. Silver solder helps/makes a great substitute. Course a smith shouldn't charge much to just stake a sight.

1000 147s from Gallant Bullets, 750? 135s from Blue Bullets. I have loading to get to.

I am finding that to get anything done on a 1911 seems much easier if you just take on the project yourself. I like doing it myself anyway.

BTW, you were right when I bought that Wilson drop-in grip safety last year. The gap is just too much. It works, but I want it to look better. I have been reluctant to cut dad's 1911, but it is exactly what he would have done, and he did early and often on his other guns.

A Ruger LCRx and a Glock 17.

Before I could even leave with the G17 the over zealous owner sold my just purchased firearm to another person and then had to return the next day with another G17 for me. As soon as I got my hands on the second G17 I locked it up so he could not sell it.

Some people. o_O

Been a busy couple days. I got a set of Hackathorns, Hogue beaver tail grip, and a couple Pearce +1 extensions for the G43.

I agree, within reason of course. One of my favorite things about the 1911 is the tinkering. For me, it all started with fitting a thumb safety for the first time. After that, I've bought more books and manuals on the 1911 than I can count.

There's a great sense of satisfaction that comes with successfully fitting your own parts.

Just finished the deal today, but waiting for FFL to receive it. This is both my first Colt and my first 9mm 1911.

Slide has been milled to install an adjustable Kensight Bomar style rear sight and matching front sight, Harrison's retro ignition set, Ed Brown checkered mainspring housing and mag release, and titanium firing pin with extra power spring.

@BatteryOaksBilly I'd love to bring it by when it arrives.

1. 5 inch nickel Triplelock
2. Russian marked CZ 75 NIB
3, CZ 75 with aluma grips NIB
4. German Walther PP from 1972 NIB in .22
5. S&W PPC revolver

Just added a Winchester 94. Octagon brl case hardened receiver. Forum friend Joseph just left from fondling the 5 mentioned above. The Winnie just fell in.
All beautiful pistols! The DA trigger on that triple lock was smoother than some SA's I've fired. The Russian marked CZ is especially sweet.

My extractor broke on my Remington R1 Enhanced last week during a range trip. I have a Wilson Combat Bulletproof extractor and firing pin stop on the way. Hoping it'll be here today. I've never fit one before, so I'm looking forward to it.

Nothing to it, bring it over we'll knock it right out. That bulletproof name is also the grip safety I was trying to think of.

My experience with the Wilson "Bulletproof" parts is they are literally twice as good as the standard Wilson 1911 parts. And you pay twice as much, but the fit and finish, as well as ergos on a thumb safety I bought last year was far superior to their standard part, so much so that I gave up trying to fit their standard thumb safety.

Well, it was about to be $3,300 worth of safe stuffing. And then the turbo on my dodge went out........:( the good news is I have $$ left over. What can I get for $0.73?!

Some Berry's Bullets from the Bullets.com going out of business sale:

-1000 147gr (RN) 9mm
-1000 180gr (FP) .40
-1000 148gr (DEWC) .38/.357
-500 230gr (RN) .45
I was gonna post a pic of what 78lbs of freedom looked like. But I picked up the box from UPS, and I'm left with 71lbs of uggh. Three calibers are busted open and mixed together. (The fourth came in a separate box)

That's a birth year gun for one of your close friends.
Jeeze...really? I've been so respectful to you 'cause I thought you were much more senior than I. :p

Photos please????????????
Since you did not ask for pictures for the other 6 in the last 10 days, I can only assume you are a man of exceptional taste. I ain't much on the picture gig, I'll try to get Geezer to post pictures for me Sunday. Would you be needing to see the Registered Magnum that is 1 of 1???

I've got taste right down there with the worst of 'em. But I thought it a bit much to ask for photos of so many guns. A 1952 Smith touches a nerve with me, ergo the request. On the other hand, 1 of 1 should be something incredible to see. :)
