What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Brooks Tactical A-Grips for the P07. I'm liking these much more than the Talon style rubber grips.

Recently got back the SR22 that I sold to a friend 4 years ago. Since Rugers website says their threaded barrel will not work with earlier models, I've sent a question via email to Twin Tech regarding their threaded barrels. Seems the only way to contact them is through email as they do not list a contact number. Any members here have a Twin Tech barrel for their SR22? If so how do you like it. Also bought a Charter Arms Undercover 38 Special from my nephew. Didn't need a revolver, or another caliber, but the price was right.

300rds of Mini-Mags. Haven’t found a .22 yet that won’t run well with them. I’ve got several hundred rounds of SV and Quiets from CCI, too. Guess I’m a fan.

Twin Tech Tactical barrel came in today. Got it installed this evening. Now just have to find the time to go try it out.

Got at Murder Beach Gun Show and old, rough, really rough, AMT Hardballer. I love cheap old 1911s. Everything runs through it like crap through a goose. 1.5 sec head shots at 10 yards are a walk in the park.
Saw it, semi hidden on your table toward the rear behind something, figured it was new to you and not for sale:)

I got a target, some range time (with a few different guns!) and some Fiocchi 90 gr. fmj in .380, which I shot 49 rounds of!

Bought 2 of these excellent pistol cleaning kits for $8 on clearance aisle at Academy sports (plus an extra brass .22/6mm jag)

made in USA, brass jags, bore guide, clp, lube, silicone cloth....and mine had this COOL little fiber optic bore light that doesn't use batteries that isn't shown.

Time to start buying ammo online? You might save. ;)

I actually have already bought a few boxes online. If I'm going to take those classes that require massive (to me) amounts of rounds, I'll need to order online, I'm thinking.
And I used up the box pretty fast today, so yes....online. Lol.

@Millie
If you've defined the gun and the ammo and plan to stick with them, you might want to save up some bucks and watch for hot sales. There are some crazy good ammo deals around if you can buy a case. :)

OMG, how much is in a case???

That sounds like a lot at first, but if you shoot a lot......
I can see where you could go thru that amount pretty quick!

Yes, if you shoot a good bit it goes fast. A lot of us also “invest” in ammo and stash it away because it’s price and availability can and does fluctuate at times. You will hear stories of people buying 500 rounds of .22 for less than $10, 1200 rounds of 7.62 for $100-150 bucks...and so on and so forth. And since it never goes bad (if stored relatively well) there is really no reason not to buy when it’s a good deal and stash it away for a rainy day.

That’s right. Whenever I see a real bargain, I order. If you buy 9mm at a retail store, by the box, about the best price you’ll find is 18 cents per round plus tax so almost 19.5 cents. Last night, I ordered a case at 16.5 cents, delivered to my door.

Talk to me about proper storage....

For the quantities you’re likely to buy for the foreseeable future, keep it in your closet.

Do they do half cases? Lol.

You're right on top of things, aren't you? Lol.
No room in closets, how about the pantry?

Yeah. You just want the driest place you can find. Remember the saying, “Keep your powder dry”? ;)

That same case was 16.2 cents today.

No problem:

Ammo is pretty resilient stuff, so for the most part just keep it from being submerged in water for any length of time and it will be good to go. Remember, militaries around the world are tossing it around in trucks and in packs in all sorts of conditions from the heat and sand of the desert to the frigid wastes of the arctic.

Many of us, myself included, but surplus ammo cans from various sources, or use the field boxes they sell at big box stores to organize our ammo. Sometimes I’ll keep those little desiccant packs that come in electronics and toss those in.

As far as case sizes:

Most case sizes we buy in bulk are 500 or 1000 rounds for most standard calibers.
