I put the gun in a plastic stock right after I bought the gun. I have no idea where the wood is. The gun does accept the Chinese 30 round magazines. Gun might have been shot 200 rounds down range. I have had it since it came out of the create. I might have ~15 30 round magazines and a bunch of steel 6.72x39 ammo. Some are ST and most are fmj. This is a gun that sits in way back in the dark corner of the safe.

What do you think it is worth at 90% less the wooden stock.

AK magazines or the "duckbill" SKS mags? If AK mags, it's a completely different animal with a completely different value.

Basic Chinese SKS's are worth about tree fiddy if you want to sell it reasonably quick. Might eek out more if it's in great shape. Bayonet lug is worth more to some people.
Can't speak to value of the duckbill mags. In my experience they aren't super desirable though.
If they are flatback Chinese AK mags, at least $30 a pop.

I had a Norinco that had never been fired after it was imported. It just had the standard SKS mag, nothing detachable, and it was flawless.

I think I got $450 or 500? It has been awhile.

Here is a picture of the SKS and the magazines it has been converted to use.

Minus the wooden stock and 15 mags I would say around $550-600. Do the mags all come full like that?

That is one ugly synthetic stock my man ;)
it would probably bring more with the factory thumbhole wooden one

SKS-M. At least $500.
If those mags are all the same as the one you posted, at least $30 a piece.

Edit: maybe @Majicmike can chime in on the mags. I know there are subtle differences in Norinco mags.

Charlie, the SKS was stamped as a SKS-Sptr. I picked it up in 1992 and really not looking to sell it. That is the only rifle that I have to shoot 7.62x39 rounds. I might have 20 of those magazines. Could be interested in trading it for something that might mean more to me. Not sure what it is.
That is one of the few firearms that I have I really do not know the value of.
