This IS home. That's why it feels that way.
Just wipe your feet before you come in, oh and wash your feet occasionally.
Someone will tell you that your feet stink if you don't.
 
I like it here too. I put my money where my mouth is. if you like support it people! I only go to a few sites, like that Crazy cowboy guy BillOaks said, I like it. ;)

Nah. She feeds them into the 3d printer and we use them as coat hooks.

I wonder what the old owners think about all that went down? I wonder if any of the founders of this place ever hear from or talk to them? That would be an interesting conversation.

What is it about forums that some folks think it’s just a place to sell your stuff and not contribute in any other way.
 
Other than sales transactions, I have never actually met anyone from the site. I had some good conversations on the phone with the folks down at THSF when I was purchasing some fun stuff for my 300 BLK and 9mm AR's. Also had some good conversations here with other members of the forum. I know there are quite a few members living nearby (Fuquay/Lillington/Sanford) but I wouldn't know them if I bumped into them at the LGS, brewery or BBQ joint. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. o_O

Well, nobody sent me any, I just happened to run across one in a thread....you mean guys are just sending them to random women? Lol. Oh boy, I've been missing out on some stuff!!

I believe I can speak for rest rest as well when I say that no one has talked to him. The day after he sold the site, I called him and I could imagine if we were talking face to face he wouldnt be able to look me in the eyes. It reminded me alot of the Homer Simpson gif of him backing into the bushes.

The best thing about this forum is when I want to buy me some hats, I buy me some hats
 
This community has been around in one version or another since the summer of 2007. Through various iterations of forums with different owners. I've been an administrator through all of them.

In that 12 years you've had groups of people who came together online then met in real life to trade items, have a meal, hit the range, or just hang out. Those online acquaintances thus became true friends.

In my case, I've met some people here who are now like brothers and who I'd do anything for. We've hunted together, moved houses together, broken bread together, traded things back and forth (and back again in some cases), drank together, mourned the losses of parents and children together. I'd not change a thing.
