I'm looking at mounting options for an omega 300.

Does everyone like the ASR mounts or should I consider something else like using a YHM QD adapter to go to YHM mounts or Key-mo?

Keymo seems to be the gold standard for massive aftermarket following. PSA is even picking up on it with pinned ars and aks. It's just wildly expensive. I have a low round count so cannot give much an opinion past that other than my return to zero being great.

What will be your primary use for the omega?

YHM is the route I took.

It's going on a bolt .308. and it would be nice to be able to put it on one of my AR's. That's why I was originally considering buying a ASR flash hider for the AR and a ASR brake for the bolt .308.

I wouldn't mind direct thread for the .308 but it is less attractive if I want to put it on the AR.

I have either the ASR one-port or three-port brakes on my the vast bulk of my rifled firearms, and I am perfectly happy with them for my Omega 300 and my Hybrid 46 suppressors.

I personally prefer brakes to flash hiders because a) I hate the dreaded flash hider ping with a passion and b) I like the idea that the brakes act as sacrificial baffles, theoretically extending the lives of my suppressors by doing so. Most people don't put enough rounds downrange through their cans for b) to really matter. I might not, either, but with a MG/SMG (depending on which Lage upper I'm using) in play with my suppressors, I am likely harder on my cans than many, so heck, that's the path I chose (and why).

Oh, and I use an ASR Blast Shield on the brakes for those times I don't have a can in play -- largely mitigating the annoyance of the brakes. ;)

EDIT:
Really, you just need to pick the ecosystem to which you hitch your wagon... and then take the ride ... since one QD mount leads to two, two leads to four, and, well, you get the idea.

Agreed. That’s why I am asking now. People use a lot of hyperbole on the internet and wading through the hype is tough sometimes.
