I didnt know where else to post this so I thought I'd ask here, feel free to move if it's off topic.

Every year I wind up with 70-100 pounds of 5.56/223 brass that I keep for a buddy that reloads them, he isnt in need of them because of component prices so I thought I'd ask you folks.

I am set up and do load for .308, .260 .444 and .300 Win. I only have a single stage press and I dont really want to mess with bulk loading range ammo for our AR's. I thought about loading up our HD ammo but I am swimming in Mk262.

So, should I sell/trade this 70ish pound pile of brass or do I go another route with it like buy a progressive?
I guess I should mention that it's mostly Norma, Wolf Gold and some PMC.

Could call up a company that sells Reman ammo and see if they'll pay you for it. Could find out what the going rate is on here, mark it down more than that and try to sell it here on CFF. All a matter of finding someone who wants to buy it, but selling it to a Reman company would probably be the easiest choice. @carybrassguy Are you still looking to buy 5.56 brass for your Reman company?

Granted, if you want to get a progressive press and this is your encouragement to invest in such, hey more power to you. :D All a matter of what you want to do.

I did a brief search of all that, I couldnt find anything current or local-ish as far as price goes. A progressive does sound enticing but I'd need to build another bench for that, although the thought has crossed my mind. I dont know what I want to do with it, hence the post.

They ask $7.80/pound for Clean, unprocessed brass.

I saw they had 223 crossed out, I will send them an email. Thank you!

Worst case, you can sell it to a metal recycling business, not sure what the going rate is right now but it is probably around $2.00 per pound.

Defender ammo is Raeford will buy it and give you company credit

There are several companies that have brass trade in programs. Send them the brass and they give credit towards their ammo/products.
