Pellet smokers/grillers, what brand/wood type are you using? Used some traeger pellets but not sure the blend. Bought some pitboss fruit blend. Didn't care for it. Using the pitboss competition blend now. I have some mesquite too...

Do you change them out between cooks?
My traeger is an older Texas Pro and doesn't have a dump door on the pellet bin. So change out is a pain...

I had been running the Treager mesquite for a long while. Then found Lowes had pit boss competition and bought twice as much for the same money as Treager pellets....
Love the pit boss love the price, I need to buy a few more bags.

I bought the pit boss fruit blend to start with. But I just got my pellet smoker and have I let used it once. I’ll be trying some new soon

I was excited to find the fruit blend... Very disappointed. Tried it on pork, chicken, bacon... Did not like the flavor it imparted...

I did some burgers and brats on mine for a first cook. They weren’t bad. But there’s always room for improvement

I just got a Camp Chef Woodwind with sear box. I stopped in Cabelas and picked up their brand of bourbon and brown sugar. $15 for 20 lb. bag, I did some burgers and the next day, reverse seared ribeyes with some wings. That's all I've got so far, but it was good. I see Wal Mart has Pit Boss pellets for $8.99 a 20lb bag.

I use Traeger brand in my Traeger 22. It has the dump door, so I can change them out relatively easy. I have been using hickory and apple, depending on the recipe.

Another vote for Lumberjack Competition Blend. I've tried about a dozen different brands and types; the Lumberjacks were the best of them.
