I keep waiting for new music from Chris but per his last interview it doesn't seem like its going to happen anytime soon. I think In The Mean Time is my favorite off Little Victories, but they're all so good.

This is a vid I took of Chris in Ashland VA a few years back. Really nice little intimate club. Not more than about 30 folks there.

Great video, I'm sure that was an amazing experience. I read an interview Cody Canada did years ago naming Chris as one of his favorite songwriters and had to find out more about him. CCR did a good job on Cry Lonely, but there's just something about him singing the songs he wrote. The same with It Ain't Easy Being Me, so many people have covered it, but not many come close to his way.

I will bet you guys would like Junior Hill and the Settlement, Bleau Edmondson, Whiskey Myers, Uncle Lucius, Steel Woods, and Jason Boland.... and of course, Jamey Johnson.

Got in a JP Harris duet project in the mail today. If you're into traditional country, he's worth checking out. Currently listening to Caleb Caudle, from Winston Salem, tonight while the Hornets are playing well. Caleb is a good songwriter and falls more under the Americana label.

His best album, IMO and one of the best jazz albums ever.

Perhaps the coolest TV music ever...

Listening to "That Lonesome Song" cd right now.

Ive got some weird tastes in music, but my fiancee says I find the greatest stuff. Right now I'm listening to a Russian girl, Nargiz Zakarova, The voice on this woman in amazing. I first found her on the Russian version of The Voice where she blew a Scorpions tune out of the water. Look her up on YouTube she has lots of vids out there.
Also on my list is a Romanian rock band Olly De Quartz I actually got to see them live when we went to Bucharest, they are pretty good.
Also listen to a singer out of the Netherlands Sandra Szabo. She does a ton of her own acoustic stuff, originals and covers. Plus she also has a bunch out with her band, Sandmarx.

I have been on a Volbeat kick lately. Nothing says badass like Rockabilly Vikings!

Agree, I just added a bunch of their stuff to my workout playlists. I was pleasantly surprised by their cover of I Only Wanna Be With You

And although they never released it as a single, love this one (lot of obscure good stuff on their first album)

I have Amazon Prime and I mostly just listen to the Volbeat Radio station. Lola Montez is one of my new favorites. That song is so damn catchy it will stick in your head for days... :D

"Sunshine Highway" by Dropkick Murphys

It'd have been so cool to catch DKM in Boston when I was there

Staying with the Irish theme (at least this group has people FROM Ireland)

Flogging Molly
Saw these folks open up for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones (another Boston band) at the old ZIggys in the early 00's
Id heard one of their songs before on a punk compilation cd, but they blew me away live!

I like this song because of the Cromwell/Roundheads lyrics - get a little history in your tunes!!

It's a Guy Clark kind of evening. Might even put Townes on next.

Used to watch that on MTV when it was a new release. My oldest son went to the same music school as their drummer, Will Calhoun.

I haven't listened to his stuff in years. Went poking around youtube after than Living Colour vid, and decided to check out some of the better material of the early 90s. Just happened to find out he's still at work. I'm glad I did...

A lot of doubt surrounding the future of the band, it will be interesting to see if there is an AA a year from now.

I dont listen to the commentators during games, so tonight it's John Moreland's In The Throes album.
