What's for Breakfast?

Trying out my new bacon press that I got at Rural King in Virginia last weekend.

Also, my wife likes grits and I've never cared for them. My wife found a bag of stone ground yellow grits last week and bought them. She says these were the kind her family got from a local miller when she was a kid. She made some this morning and we had them with the bacon and eggs. I can eat these, they have a much better taste and texture than the grits from the stores around here.

I couldn’t eat them crap instant grits either, but stone ground have a nice flavor. Especially once you add some bacon/sausage grease when they're cooking

Bacon, eggs, and more stone ground grits. Then I splashed some Tabasco all over. Mmmmmm, good stuff! @CZfool68 , ya can't just eat one.

I ate a large "meats" pizza from papa johns last night so I'm skipping breakfast.

I had Sunday brunch at a fancy steakhouse near where I live. Probably the best grits I've eaten in my young life, and some cheesy shrimp gravy that was delicious on biscuits. Their eggs were the same powdered gack they serve in hotels and their sausage patties looked like they belonged on McDonalds biscuits, but they would make you an omlet with crab meat.

And the actual food was spectacular. They had jumbo shrimp cocktail on the buffet, the same shrimp they use for a $12 appetizer you can get on their all-you-can-eat buffet. Garlic green beans and squash casserole and hand-carved prime rib.

Voila! A little stove top time and a little oven time, and it's ready to eat. Probably enough for me and my FIL for the next 3 days.

I had Mrs. Winners in HP this morning.
I was underwhelmed with it.

Made redneck Eggs Benedict today. That's fried eggs and bacon on English muffins with hollandaise. Smoked/cooked the bacon, sausage links, and asparagus on the Traeger. Fried up some eggs and whipped up some hollandaise with half and half, chopped some fruit, and poured some cava over grapefruit juice along with the coffee...

Weather was beautiful so we ate out on the deck...
