What's in your go bag?

A change of clothes, a sweater, tarp, cheap rain poncho, TP, walking shoes, flashlight, water, knife, lighter, sharpie, duct tape, 20' paracord, an MRE, and $20.
ETA: Mine's a "get home ~10 miles bag" or "stranded overnight" bag.

You'll need Good hiking socks
Band aides, I would get the cloth ones
Packets to add to drinking water
Protein bars
Cell phone battery power bank for recharges
Hat

@Chuckman I don't really know. I guess I'll talk to her and try to determine what she thinks the mission will be. And I want to know where this question comes from.

"Go" for what? What's the mission? Mission drives gear. Single person per bag for how long? Any pedestrian time? Time you will be affected by weather? Blah blah blah...
This. My work GHB has a pretty well defined distance and terrain and things are set up for that. Terrain is pretty well known and well defined (ie doesn’t change much if the route varies). What I’ve packed may or may not work for your task (eg would change with additional people, different weather)

There's Go bags, Get Home bags, I'm Never Coming Home bags, Active Shooter bags, etc...

Med Kit
Water/Filtration
Energy bars/Nutrition
Fire starter
Knife
Cordage
Tarp/poncho/
Map/compass

My edc
Hand gun
Fixed and folding knife
Small first aid kit
Very Sm bottle of alcohol
Large bandanna
Few Cable ties
Cordage
Quick eat foods
Flash light
Water bottle
Lighter.

My GHB is completely different.

I need to go through mine and look at and possibly change some things. It’s been awhile.

Burt Gummer for the win! 😄
I’m just a hoarder. I’ve rarely ever needed anything out of that bigger bag, but it’s good stuff to have. And, depending on the situation, you may not need a lot of it and can dump it to save weight if you had to walk.

I'm 75+ and stove-up. I carry my ccw, a spare mag, a knife, and my cell phone and charge cord. My "get home bag" is my nutsack.

A man's gotta know his limitations ...

Mission = get home short range, get home long range, get to bug out shelter, get to permanent shelter, car breaks down and overnighting, etc.

That's a jack-of-all-trades-and-master-of-none, and I think it's unicorn. Also, BOBs/Go-bags are so personal. My needs are not your needs, etc.
