Wheel/tire size and stupid trends

2010 with 195k a new Jasper tranny went in already and I can't remember how much other money I've throw into that "daily driver" before she got her car. Money well spent now that it's a full time "toy". G2 5:13's and 35x12.50's get about 16.5mpg, ARB rear and OX up front pushing some G2 Axel's as well. So far pretty confident in the performance. Keeping it till this comes out.

Mine was a 2010 Rubicon to start with. 2.5" lift, a little pinch weld trimming. Took off the stock rock rails and put Poison Spyder all around. Bumper, rails, and fender flares. River Raider off road engine to to gas tank skid plate. 5.13 gears. AEV Procal to re-calibrate the speedo within 1mph of GPS. The only thing I didn't do myself was the gears.
Silly me, I sold it to pay for my Veloster. All my 4 wheeling buddies gave up their Jeeps. I should have kept it. More fun.
Now I'll have to buy a new JL and start over.
This is what it looked like parked next to a near stock Rubicon. Sibling Rivalry. Loved the stubby bumpers for better approach angle at the tire.

I'm a few weeks away from throwing a 6" lift under my k5 with some 35x12.5 on 15x12s. I may just have to hold off on lifting the rear and ride around for a day or so "squatting" just to see how the other side lives.

Going to take it up the bum too? lol

I have yet to figure out low profile tires on a truck. Looks awful and is absolutely useless. The wheels should be as small as possible to cover the brakes, and the tires should be as big as possible without rubbing the wheel well. Why is this difficult to comprehend? Pics of mine for reference:

Ah... Eye bleach for the abominations seen earlier in the thread.

Awww yiss... Those guys that drive trucks like in the OP - they kill me to no end.

These are the guys on Facebook that start arguments over how awesome NASCAR is and tell the guys who have been watching over 30 years to quit ruining it for everyone else. NASCAR is considering mufflers so these guys can better enjoy their bro-parties in the stands where they compare their frosted tips.

These are the guys that think they're good drivers because they watch NASCAR or are "redneck" or whatever - but if you ride behind them long enough you will see failure to yield, crossing the centerline, and a host of other dangerous tendencies more inline with a female Asian teenager.

I have it on good authority they mix creatine powder into their cereal milk before heading to get a spray tan.

Agreed! Saw this at Lowes and had to take a pic. Z71 Off Road?!?! Puhhhhhleaassssseee!!! Not on blades!

Moved here from MN and this was purely a southern trend for sure.

OP, your rubicon sounds nice. Cleanse our pallets with a pic of that. Here is my 4Runner. As soon as I got it I took off the 18’s and put on 17’s to have better, cheaper AT tire options.

Nice old 3/4 ton trailer. Where'd you get the top for it? It looks custom.

And it'd be a lot cooler if your 4 runner tires matched the trailer tires. Alright alright.

Saw one yesterday driving home from work. Looked stupid as hell.
One of the used car dealers in K'Ville has a bunch of used trucks with the stupid overwide rims and tires too small for the amount of lift on the trucks.

You know how that goes.... they are getting ready for redistribution of wealth.. cough cough, I meant tax return time.

Hey I know those rocks @fishgutzy

I live near Zebulon/Wendell. It is full of dumbass kids with those squatted trucks. They all hang out in the same parking that all my buddies and I would hang out in back then. I kind of want to run off the neck-bearded rednecks for parking those homo-looking trucks where the cool cars used to be.

Saw a truck at the rink last night:
Carolina Squat
SMALL wheels and tires (think ford ranger stock sizes on a 2500 sized truck!)
and, to top it off
White LEDs in the wheel wells...left on for at least at hour while the guy was inside.
