The thousand oaks shooting thread made me think about this. Would be "fun" to have a CFF course like this.

By "fun" I think I mean incredibly humbling and possibly humiliating....

Anyone run these in the triangle area?

They are exactly as you state! Great training tool.

Besides Boyette and 37PSR, there is also Defensive Concepts North Carolina. Precisely this weekend they have a force on force class with simunitions and have a few openings.

I am not trainer just a guy who likes to shoot. I seems odd to me in the video that the guy grabs his gun, moves to clear his house and does not call the police until he has engaged the subject in his home. He has to transition to what I assume is his strong hand and is holding the cell phone with his off hand. Am I missing something?

In the class they teach to stay put, barricade yourself, and call 911. In this situation the homeowner uses cover after having the bad guy comply.

Cool. It just strikes me as odd to use this approach in your promotional video.

I’ve made 911 calls before and I cant imagine going through that while trying to engage (or remain situationally aware) a bad guy who is in my house. I think focusing on a phone and not a lethal threat is a mistake. Have the wife call 911 while you handle the threat. I am all for controlling the situation then calling 911 versus having my attention occupied with an uncontrolled threat inside. Yes, there’s the risk of them taking the initiative and you’ve got no backup on the way but to me, it makes more sense to focus on one thing at a time. Not saying that’s the only way to do it, just my preference

Training classes are tools. Take the skills, put them in the tool box, and pull them out/use them in the manner and order you see fit. Adapting to the situation is critical

Honestly, with some of the news stories today, I would be afraid of them showing up and shooting you, thinking you were the invader.

It's your home. You have every right to defend it if you do choose, which is probably not a wise move for most people. The alternative is to call the cops and let them deal with it, but to combine the two seems too risky.

I'll be hosting Karl Rehn of KR Training in October of 2019 for a force on force class in the Athens, GA, area.

John Murphy of FPF Training out of VA does scenario based training based on street encounters. He travels with his class as well.

I trained with John way back in the day when he was in the Quantico area and still in the Corp.

We offer force on force using airsoft guns. Specifically a team tactics course and a force on force scenarios course for a mix of CQB and street encounters. We also offer a Tac Med 102 force on force for medical treatment under fire. Located outside Winston- Salem NC

I have done a ton of FoF classes in the past.

What i am doing in the future is, I have a level 1 PDW class that is published and open enrollment.

Once i build the Alumni up, the Alumni will have closed enrollment classes offered. Level 2 PDW, FoF in structures, VCQB and the like.
