I'm finally at a point where I can begin to get back into competitive shooting. Never shot USPSA but I'll be there. Slow is smooth for now. That's step one anyway. Step three is huuuuge profits.

What is the link to the match
I'll see if I can find it. It's sold out though.

Carolina guns and gear range.

It's a fantastic USPSA match, but you've basically gotta get signed up for it in the first hour after it's opened.

It's a good one. Not going this month.

Pro tip, at CGGR if the shooting area has a corner way out there, there's a reason.

There you go giving away all the secrets

What happened to you @Chdamn ?

I was there. I shot the first 4 stages and then had to leave. My son had a baseball game and I promised him I'd be back in time.

Jason told me to be there at 8 so I assumed we started at 9. I figured 4.5 hours was plenty of time. I'll know for next time.

Oddly enough even though I only shot half
The match I still didn't finish last. Sal texted me last night to say I was 3rd from last.

So, of the 4 stages...howd you like it?

I liked the varied stages. I used to shoot 2 gun quite a bit so I could hide behind my rifle skills.

I didn't like waiting on every single stage for the slow group in front of us but that's true with anything.

This really put a spot light on a few training gaps I have with the pistol.

The main two were muscle memory for draw and grip and cadence for follow up shots.

I was also using a new site that I hadn't taken to the range yet so I wasn't used to it so I'll need some still target work as well.

My first shot each time was dead on but my follow ups I was pushing trying to push the gun back into aim instead of waiting for the natural cadence.

Big steel was no problem but the small stuff at over 10 yds ate my lunch and a lot of ammo.

I also learned to never start at the bottom of the tree. Damn thing helicoptered on me and took 2 mags to move on.
