Why do you shoot competitions?

If you shoot for the fun of it and not the prizes the day goes much better. Shooting for money takes the fun out and makes it work. I make more money working so why make work out of a off day.

USPSA is a ton of fun and our local competitive scene in the Piedmont has a lot of genuinely good people in it. It's a solid community that I enjoy being a part of.

Every time someone I know talks seriously about coming out and shooting with us I always tell them that no matter how bad they shoot, there will always be ten others who shoot worse. My son found that out at his first match a couple of weeks ago. Out of 80 some odd shooters, there were exactly ten worse, lol.
