Putting in a new unit for my mother. Found something interesting when I was disassembling it to be able to get it to the scrap yard. Although I gave her a carbon dioxide detector 12 years ago she never plugged it into the wall. She’s lucky to be alive. If you have an older relative check for a detctor if they have gas. When the install company put it in 15 years or more ago they never installed one even after failing two inspections for other stuff.
