Since I can see them for myself, my wife sent me pictures of the Reaper, Ghost, and habanero bushes.
Lots of green still. And lots of buds. There will be plenty of heat to harvest when I get back from China.

Anyone who eats these things is a glutten for punishment. I just cant see what enjoyment can be had from
eating something that tears the hell out of your taste buds and your ass. As they say in Cali....."WHATEVER" :p

just as addicts build a tolerance for dope,
Hot pepper junkies build a tolerance for the heat.
I put a whole habanero on the my eggs. [emoji38]

When you are back Stateside you need to come to the cabin for a wing night. I have been looking for an excuse to break out the Scorpion sauce. I am likely not man enough so could use some help. Maybe the Western Carolina meetup? I hope I can make that.

No colon cancer for us. Nothing can live through that. But you may not be so lucky. :p

Chili peppers make food worth eating. My wife loves chicken pot pie. I hate yard bird pie - bland on bland, no reason to eat it. Not even sure you ate except you aren't hungry any more. Kind of like bread and water, but not as good. But you cut up some Thai Chilies and put in the pie and you have something edible.

A guy at work grows and eats the reapers. Loves them.... I'm not kidding. He eats 3 or 4 a day. No reaction. Has 30 reaper plants and they are loaded down. Asked me if I wanted any I said no thanks..... Lol

My next door neighbor grows all diff kinds including the reaper. Went to his chili part last weekend and worked my way all the way up to it. Yessir, I ate the reaper, or at least a tiny little piece. And no sir i will never ever do it again. That sht was HOT like felt it up in my sinuses. Honestly it was a bitter taste as well not like some of the other ones leading up to it. Favorite was the white fatali, that was nice.

Make sure you keep the tomato hornworm off of them. I lost three entire bushes of reapers in 24 hours to one of those little bastards. I don't how the heat didn't bother him but I may or may not have thrashed him with a garden hoe into million little worm pieces in a fit of rage.

I forget what it is off hand, but there's a common plant or flower that if you plant it stone the perimeter, the horn worm won't go past it.
