Teacher is disapplened for commenting on the murder of a cheerleader.

“STOKESDALE, N.C. —

A teacher at Oak Level Baptist Academy in Stokesdale has been "disciplined" after a comment she made on a Facebook post was interpreted as racist.

The teacher, identified as Darlene Pittman on Facebook, made the comment: "This stuff makes me mad. He doesn't deserve a trial. Go back to old fashioned hangings." Pittman's comment was in response to a news article detailing the murder of a pregnant cheerleader by a high school football player.”

All the weirdoes come out of the woodwork about the comment of “hanging” a murderer but not a peep about the actual murder.

Time to say “suck my butt cheeks”

Well, I don't agree with her comments either - she's advocating murder - but you make a very good point. May he rot in hell however he gets there.

That is correct but beside the point. Capital punishment involves the courts. I take issue with "He doesn't deserve a trial"

This my be extreme, explain:

Self defense?
Finding someone that just assaulted a family member?

No trial, you are the judge, jury and you carry out the sentence.

That's an analogy, and a poor one. Immediate safety concerns are up to you. Justice after the fact, not up to you.

I'll agree with that - hanging as a method of execution is not inherently racist.
But you have to admit, a hanging, lack of a trial, and a black hang-ee are three of the four elements that make up a good old fashioned lynching. I can see how people read racism into her tweet.

I'll give you lack of trial, and maybe by a stretch, an association with his race, but that is implying you know the intention of the individual, to associate her comment with a racist comment, it's still a stretch, and I'm no mind reader.

I think this is teetering on the line of someone looking for something to be offended by online.

Maybe semantics but I don't believe he deserves a trial, but I do believe he has a right to one.

The teacher is an idiot for having a facepage to begin with and that is the end of the story for me. Now if I could only get my teacher wife to get rid of her facepage.

I agree he deserves an incredibly painful and torturous death, however, all NC public schools have a district policy on social media use. She knew better or didn't read the policy.

BTW, hanging is not racist.

Agreed. Two issues: her points, and the discipline from putting them on SM. If she violated her business' SM policy (in this case, the school system), then she gotsta take her lumps....

Murder of the unborn child and the young lady. I always say 'once convicted'. That way nobody gets upset.
Everyone deserves their day in court, we are all innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, not a Kangaroo Court or one of Public Opinion.

He deserves a trial and if found guilty he deserves execution.
he absolutely deserves a trial... a speedy one, as mandated by the constitution's 6th amendment. General thought defines "speedy" as 60 to 120 days. I think 30 to 45 days to be more appropriate. For capital punishment related crimes, an automatic appeal should take place within 90 days.... if the appeal finds them guilty, execution should be set within a two week window...

the male bovine excrement that takes place now, where a person stays on death row for 20 years has to stop.

And I don’t believe she should have apologized for anything.
I hate a bully and that is what the useres of the card have become.

So your wife is an idiot?

Now her parents, family, and loved ones get the joy of hearing the POS's sob story while he tells them his excuses for butchering their daughter in a court room where is he protected by armed men. But he'll probably say he's sorry. Yeah, sounds very fair in the cosmic sense.

I thought in this case, he clearly admitted to killing her because she was going to have his baby. He went there with that intent and had been planning it for days in advance. He also hid the body. He said, ,"He took action and killed her." (Sounds like something out of coaching.) Seems cut and dry. If true, a trial does seem superfluous.

We cant boast one amendment while putting down another
He'll get his trial and then get his punishment
Now it's up to the legal system to do the right thing

But whenever do they do the right thing in cases like this. At the most he is likely to get 3-7 years behind bars

The trial of the man who killed the Lindbergh baby in 1932 began on January 2, 1935, 100 days after his arrest, and he was sentenced to death on February 13, 1935. There were some legitimate problems with the trial, and the NY Governor delayed the execution to investigate, but even with the delays, the execution occurred on April 3, 1936, just 14 months after sentencing. And yet, the Governor nearly lost his re-election because the public thought the execution had taken too long. Times have changed.

No doubt, now once someone is sentenced it's years of appeals and such.

As for what the kid will get, I cant comment, let's see what happens and what he actually gets. We do have a broken system though.

The teacher's problem was in suggesting no trial was needed. The guy is entitled to a trial, which he should have today and then be hanged tomorrow.

That is A problem but it was the suggestion of hanging that brought the accusation of racism. Not that it was intended as such, just people taking offense to divert the blame.

It’s not just taking offense to divert blame,
To quote Rogan, it’s Recreational Outrage.
People are just looking for any excuse to claim outrage, and virtue signal that they are somehow better than you....

I completely agree with her sentiment and do not think she said anything wrong, her problems began when she voiced an emotional response to the killing rather than allowing her brain to filter her written words, so she’s going to suffer the consequences.

Once the killer is in custody he has every right to a trial, then the hanging imo, but then again I honestly believe if a family member of mine was the victim of something like this, the law would be prolonging the killers life by many, many months.
