Found this well used 1912 on the way to Baltimore last Friday in Cabelas Richmond. The wood is solid, had a dent in the mag that the follower was hanging up on, there is bluing in the hidden spots but it’s mostly brown, sadly has a polychoke and was born in 1914. Im not sure if it’s short chambered but I hope that when the polychoke was installed the chamber was reamed to 2 3/4. I used a socket on an extension and a plastic hammer to iron out the dent. Fed, fired and ejected some of my 20 ga cas loads with no problems. Im leaning towards rebuilding it into a 20 ga riot gun.

Nice! I think I would clean it up, wax the wood, and cut the barrel at 20”. I wouldn’t even refinish it. Looks great.
