This show may not be the best show around, I guess, but my ever-shrinking world of interest and travels make this my favorite show. I’ll be there Saturday morning, carrying around a 44 mag Vaquero and 4” 22lr S&W Pre-18. If you’re the guy wanting to trade your TRP or Valor for a stainless Vaquero and a 1953 K22 Combat Masterpiece, I look forward to meeting you

We’ll be there. Bring that pre-18 over for a gander.

I’m comin’ to pickup one’a them $599 Hudsons. :D

I've got a friend that is looking for a S&W M&P 15-22 if anyone is thinking of selling theirs. We'll probably be there Saturday morning if so. Message me if you have one and are going to be there.

Who normally exhibits that sells powder? I went to the Gun Rack in K-ville this week and it looked like they are abandoning reloading components. No primers, no bullets, very little in the way of powder. Going to have to start keeping show weekends open or pay more attention to NO HAZMAT specials on line.

Minuteman usually sets up at the Winston show and they carry reloading supplies.

Seems to me @jmccracken1214 said the best reloading shop in the area is in Lexington.

Blue Collar is near Salisbury, but that is too far for me to sneak out of the house for. She has figured out that I am not really going to see a man about a dog. I normally catch Blue Collar at the Greensboro show. But then I guess my wife will also get wise pretty quick to hazmat packages being delivered.

I'll be going Sat morning, I might need to look for a nice leather pancake holster

If that's all you're going for, Jeppo said it right: put the ticket cost toward a chiefjason holster. You won't find anything as good as his at the show.
I am up to eight total. I won't buy leather pancakes anywhere else.

Looking for little random odds and ends (some of my favorite 'scores' havent really been guns or ammo, but leatherman tools or old 1980s Camel belt buckles etc etc), but also want to look at some bolt rifles

I have some 9mm at the Carolina Tactical Outfitters table

@Charlie R what primers and powder are you looking for?

I am looking for some Federal GM AR primers and 8202 XBR, but unfortunately, I will not make it to Winston today. My wife has made other plans and it is amazing how much more reloading and many more guns I can afford if I stay married to her.

Went, paid 9 bucks to walk around and see some cool stuff, left with nothing.
I saw a streamlight microstream usb for 30 (five cheaper than Amazon had them), but I didnt like the color.
Some reasonable ammo prices, but not as cheap at Outdoors Limited in HP, so no purchases there
No MP5 mags
No 223 bolt action rifle.

Saw @cubrock , but before I could talk with him he took off. He was busy with customers and then had to leave for some reason and I didnt see him again.
Your boy's knives and pry bars are pretty cool though, especially the ones with the 'chipped' looking top!

OH, saw a cool military surplus bag, think it was labeled as a M5 medic bag or something. Looked awesome, looked older. Only 15 bucks and I was in...till I saw the various tears and small holes. NAH.
But now I'll search for another elsewhere

Yeah, looked to me like @cubrock sold the $599 Hudson before I got there. I want my $9 back. :(

Sorry I was too busy to talk most of the day. The crowd wasn't that huge, really, but we had some really busy times.

The $599 Hudsons didn't arrive before I left for the show. But, they weren't $599. I paid $599 plus NC sales tax (they won't honor my tax ID), plus shipping. Then there is my markup. :)

My boy sold four or five knives today, along with some of his smaller tools. He has paid for his table and is in the black for the weekend, so he is happy. Last time, he just broke even. Thank you for checking out his stuff.

Tell your son his presentation was very nice. He made the knives look like fine artisan jewelry. I’m just ribbing you about the Hudsons. If I’d wanted one badly enough, I’d have bought it BEFORE giving you guys the link. ;)

Thank you for your kinds words. He appreciates it.

I’m rIbbing back on the Hudsons. I appreciate the heads-up on the link. I am still sore they wouldn’t take my tax ID, but that has nothing to do with you. LOL

Is there no offset for the sales tax you paid when you finally make a retail sale and collect/remit the tax?

Maybe. The state doesn’t make it easy, but it is possible.

I met an Iraqi man who was shot in the arm for helping Americans... showed me on his forearm where AK round chewed it up....

The food court was usual nightmare except for pretty girl... the self sealing targets were nice looking, but I only bought a Watchdog tactical belt... :(
