Hey guys,

The Winston Salem Gun Show is this weekend (8/12 and 8/13). We will be there at the Backwoods Bang Shop booth. Drop by and see us!

Who else is going?

Will this be in the bigger building or smaller?

With bells on!

August is typically in the building with the ice rink. We'll be there.

To confirm, the show is in the ice rink building this time, not the building it is usually in. On the plus side, the ice rink building holds up to 80 more tables than the regular building, so there will potentially be more vendors there.

Just got back home after fighting the Guns & Roses concert traffic to get out. They were warming up when I left and you could hear the music anywhere in the greater coliseum/fairgrounds area. Can't imagine how loud it must have been in front of the speakers!

What?

Always go to this one, just because. Concert traffic -

I left several hundred dollars poorer...

I got a nice steel target setup, some cartridges, and a Vortex Strikefire from the first vendor thru the door...

Some of the best prices on things I've seen in a while,:D

I left many hundreds poorer. Darn you @knifeman32 !!!!!

:D

I wanted to go but today was my only day off and I'm hopefully buying a motorcycle this week. Gun stuff might put a stop to that.

I went, bought nothing.
I did see a KelTec Sub2000 for 359, but not something I really want to spend my money on at this moment.
Saw Jerek....he didnt see me (wow, that sounded really creepy! He was just so busy doing paperwork each time I went by)

I didnt see anything I really fancied that was in my budget

I wish you'd interrupted him. You might have saved me a bundle!

I saw a good selection of used rifles, some very interesting and unusual. Bought a gun-sock and thought I was getting out cheap. Almost made it out the door, then saw a stripped lower for $50!
I don't know what came over me. I don't need another AR...but I couldn't pass it up either. So, maybe it'll just sit on the shelf unbuilt... Yeah, right

The guy with the steel targets had a nice display and pretty fair prices. Knifeman was very busy, as usual.

I was also impressed with that guy's AR500 targets. 1/2", well machined and painted, fair prices.

Oh, I just remembered - anyone notice the one booth, near the back wall, about center of the rows that had 4 ARs but were all very...'different' looking.
Like one was machined to where there might have been 50% of the aluminum etc that usually is on an AR and one...good God...Had its mag receiver shaped like a skull....hideous A F.

Also, and I should have gotten a picture of all of these things Im posting about, was the booth with the 'adults only' signs on their tables...I was really let down when there wasnt FDAU content on the table ;)

I came in from the garage carrying a small bag. Wife says, "So?".

Before I opened the bag, I showed her that photo on my phone (the "your wife called" one).

She says, "I don't remember calling; open the bag".

We were talking about that one last night. It kinda looked like an educational aid. You could easily see the bolt.
I said it would be very easy to spray it out, when dirty. My buddy noted it would also allow a lot of debris to enter as well.
But, VERY cool looking, no doubt!

Yeah it was neat looking. The skull one...not so much. Actually, the skull one looked like poop. Id rather have a turd shaped AR that the skull one lol

Don't remember his name but I'm pretty sure the same company was also at the GSO show. Maybe somebody will remember from that show. They were in the same room as the CFF table.

If you're just looking for plates, I've found some great deals on EBay and can point you to the source.

Actually, I promised him a review after I got it set up. I meant to earlier, but work has just had me swamped.... we were supposed to have 25-30 folks on staff but so far can't seem to keep more than 10-12 at a time... and one of the most experienced guys, I have to train the new guys for two days before they quit. o_O
