less than a month away. ;)

Anyone know if this show is usually busy? I just figured everyone would be too hammered on turkey...

I will be there regardless, fighting the good fight.

I’m eager to see if more steel targets are going to be there, in addition to holster shopping...

If anyone wants to volunteer for GRNC with me for a 4-hour shift, you get free admission. :)

Sure! I'll come by, ask a million real personal questions, make things very uncomfortable, waste an hour of your time, and not buy anything. Sound good?
;)

lol like you could ask me a question that would make me uncomfortable...laughable!

Come on by, say hi

Crap I've got to visit family in Raleigh which is the opposite direction. Decisions decisions.... ;)

I have everything staged in the garage so in the morning its tossing three totes, my sling bag with snacks and drink, and my the folding handtruck that I use to haul it all into my car.

Stop by and say hi, always awesome to meet forum members!

Little one and I are at Stratford grill for breakfast then heading to the show. I will be in an orange fleece pullover with a Tennessee took....and he will be the one with the mouth open and running.

Jerek was overrun at their place. Dont think I know Madman and HMP.

I talked to the guys from Defender Ammunition and I have to say Im a real fan now. They were very nice and made me a great deal on some ammo.

I also picked up some surplus 8mm ammo for cheap...I should have stocked up on more but I was trying to spread my budget around to cover several calibers.

Back woods bang shop had a nice selection with nice prices. The rest of the show was kinda mediocre. I was got look at and touch most of the pistols i was interested in but i did not buy anything. Maybe next go round.

I bought another target from Ground Zero Ballistics, a belt and appendix holster, some body armor and generally had a good day until after the show.

Then a JBT state trooper wrote me a BS ticket. I swear, if I ever see folks shooting at cops, I’m standing aside and letting the miserable JBT’s get what they have coming.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I told him I could possibly lose my job, yet despite my clean criminal record, my volunteer efforts, my going the xtra mile at work, I got a ticket.

I may have to. I was not speeding, I was not drinking, texting, or anything dangerous.

He wrote me up for not wearing a seatbelt, despite my explaining I take the belt off to reach my ID cards. I like having them readily available in my hands on the wheel, so I don’t go reaching for things and making them nervous. I like my hands nice and visible at ten & two...
Miserable cretins...

What do you think he actually stopped you for?

Unsure. This is precisely why if I am driving and spot a police car behind me, I pull over and let them go ahead. I won’t ride around with one behind me voluntarily.

I was surprised, as well as others, as the low number today as far as foot traffic goes.
I did ok, about like I did at the last WS gun show on Saturday. But there were times that I'd look down the aisle I was on and there would be less than 5 customers. And the aisle next to mine was the same. And the other side was the same.

But it was a beautiful day, holiday weekend, and I hear traffic due to Wake game was terrible.

Great meeting new folks, always a treat!!!!!!!!!!
And, of course, seeing the folks I already know is awesome too

I think the best way to measure traffic at the show is that I saw Jerek taking a couple moments to straighten guns on the tables.

JBT?

Jack Booted Thug. Because NC is short about 150 troopers, they are going around pulling people who are doing absolutely nothing wrong. Me thinks there is more to this story?
Sounds like a good job opportunity for some peeps
