Woman threatens officer with visit from KKK

My Grandfather was a Magistrate. He used to hold court on Monday under a magnolia tree. I asked him once what all those people had done wrong, his answer was.....Some folks and likker don't get along.

Waste of time. Jeez! I did several ride alongs with my son when he was a patrol Officer. Just in my short time doing that, I saw several criminals threaten him, his partners, their families and pets with stuff way worse than that.

I don't know about the charges, but that is a rough looking 53. Life does not appear to have treated her kindly!

I kind of throw this into the same category as the people in the UK who gets in trouble for not using the correct gender pronoun. It is certainly impolite and even offensive in this case, but not really a credible threat.

Overall I am against this modern form of policing/prosecution where several sometimes questionable charges are lumped together in order to make it easier to agree to a plea bargain.

Plus, I expect my law-enforcement officers to not need safe spaces from words.

Non credible threat, she has no way to carry it out. Means and opportunity don't exist.
We have a winner!

She is not in control of another so it might as well as a "God'll get you" threat.

The charge shouldn't have been drawn and barring that shouldn't have been issued.

In my opinion, it should be handled the same as a threat against any citizen.

I oppose special protected classes and things like “hate” crimes.

It depends really. Will they bring the color guard? Will it be a venerated observance and ritual?

I do know a couple people where that could be a real serious threat. I used to think that was just from back when I was a kid. Apparently the offer still exists, although they turned them down. To be honest, some people you might not think have some rather frightening acquaintances.

Reminds me of the saying, “while you’re coming for me, my man is going for your family”.
