Nah he wasn’t a reloader and had no idea what they were. He just saw me buy some RCBS stuff and said he had some cases that said that on them. Found out they were in a bucket in a garage for a few years.

Agreed but dang if I’d want to reload my ammo with them! Some pits are a bit deep.

drill them out for a wildcat cartridge then lol

Soak them in Evap-o-rust then send them back to RCBS to polish the insides of the dies. That might salvage them, might.

For those who don't know. Evap-o-rust is used by machinist to remove rust from tooling and parts. It does a wonderful job of removing surface rust. Before you run out and buy some to drop gun parts in, it will remove the bluing from gun parts too. But for removing surface rust from dies, tools and such, it's da bomb. It's stocked a Harbor Freight it quart and gallon bottles.

Looks like those dies were salvaged from New Orleans after Katrina.

honestly, I’d bet that RCBS would replaced them under warranty.

Take them apart and go again, leave them overnight, don’t soak the aluminum toolhead. It’ll be worth the effort.
