So heres my submission to the guiness world records for the most redneck veneer clamp! I made a 2’x2’ marquetry inlay of a compass rose, and wanted to glue it to a plywood substrate. Didnt have time to fab up a proper clamp, so i wandered the yard looking for anything heavy! Mountain rocks collected over the years seemed to fit the bill! I’ll post pics of it when it comes out of the “clamp”.

Nice job!

I was drafted into making an "ant-proof" container for my youngest daughter for the dubias she gets to feed her leopard gecko and whatever kind of frog it is she has.

I settled on a two gallon blue plastic Lowes bucket for the job. Bought two lids for it, cut the center out of both exactly the same, then cut the outer edge off one to form a ring. Then I sandwiched some bug screen between the two using silicone caulk. I didn't have clamps to put all around the edge, so I cut some cardboard circles to fit over it then piled about 130 pounds of bricks on top of it and left it on the porch all night.

Worked like a charm.
