    ***Found some!***

    Hey!
Does anyone have a pair of J mounts you want to sell?
We got some kayaks and I'm setting up an old trailer to haul them. They came with one set of the J-hook "cradle" mounts like the pic shown below. I need one more set of them to make the trailer work the way I want it to, and my daughters paddle board can ride in the middle. (similar to the trailer shown in the pic, but with the amounts spread wider to leave room for the paddleboard in the middle)
I don't really want the cheap off-brand from Amazon, but I'm also not paying full price for new Thule cradles. So looking for some used Thule or similar.
I can pick up in RTP area or in between RTP and Winston. Or my father in law is in the Boone area.
    Thanks!
    Richard

Richard, I’ve got this set here in the link. I bought them when I bought my first kayak. They were mounted on top of my suburban, and withstood me loading my 90lb kayak on them. I’ve made a few mounting mods to them but the cradles themselves are holding up nicely. Now they’re mounted on a trailer.

You could always build some out of PVC. Wouldn’t be to difficult.

I've got a set in Charlotte if you pass through. They are the amazon ones but trust me they work just as well as the big store stuff.

Thanks everyone! Of course after I posted this, I found some non-folding Thule mounts on craigslist. I had been looking for a a while and had not found any that were cheap enough, but these popped up right after I posted yesterday.
It turns out I need two pairs and that's what showed up on craigslist. I thought one pair of J-carriers came with the kayaks when I bought them, but instead it is this straight vertical bar called a Thule kayak stacker. I'll be selling that one once I get these J-mounts.
If this craigslist deal falls through tomorrow, the I am going to order from the company @Burt Gummer mentioned.
    Thanks again!

I use the cheapo ones from amazon. I've had them for a couple years now and they've held up to my abuse quite well. I want some Thule folders but can't justify the price...
