Good move by McMahon. They're aiming for Jan or Feb 2020 launch; this timing lets them pick up viewers in the huge sports viewing gap following the Superbowl.

While the original XFL didn't last very long, they were pioneering and some of their innovations were copied by the NFL, including skycam. McMahon is the ultimate entertainer, and I don't doubt that he will innovate again. Plus NFL games move so slowly there are opportunities to create a game that works better for the potential viewing audience that has too many options to bother with a 3hr game with tons of long commercial breaks.

You better believe the NFL is gonna deal with the anthem protest during the offseason. They don't want to continue to drive fans away, and potentially into the XFL.

It's already set for starting the season late Jan or Feb, so overlap won't happen. I'm interested to see how this unfolds. Could be fun, could be catastrophic. Either way I'll check it out.

I might watch this. Besides the NFL's BS they have been allowing to happen I think there are too many rules and the games last way too long.

He said there will be no one in the league with a DUI, and that Tim Tebow would be welcome to play. A boring league full of pure of heart players is not likely to last. I'll reserve judgement until they actually have a league and teams. I am all on board with having some standards for league personnel, but he sounded a little ridiculous.
