Yanny or Laurel???

My 1st thought, "this is stupid" & I heard yammi via computer speakers.
Getting gas yesterday I clearly heard laural & couldn't hear yammi. via 'gas pump news'.
I wonder if the tone makes the difference.

It does. There is a site where you can manipulate the sound so you can hear either word.

I am pretty much deaf to high pitch noises, so all I can get is Laurel.
