Oh..
Wait...
you said “Yoga”...

Actually, I have been looking at DDPY, or Bikram...
Any places around Durham?

Was discussing this with the wifey... The reason I haven't made a move on this is I don't know anywhere to take a class and I don't like videos as a start. I think to keep from hurting yourself you really need a pro to help you start out with proper form. Same reason I'm not lifting. Been out of the gym too long and can't afford a back injury...

Free classes in Durham.
Not exactly the most eye pleasing crowd but the price is right.
Let me get you specifics later.

I bought into the DDP Yoga program. My total after a 1-week trial will be $86+. I did the 45 minute intro workout today, which is a slow burn movement introduction.

I'll be 65 in April, very inactive and about 45 pounds overweight. I found the initial video challenging enough for me, but also doable. Most traditional yoga workouts are so far beyond my strength and flexibility limits that I can't really get a good workout. DDP seemed to be a combination of modified yoga and isometrics.

I'll track my progress in weight and workout, and report back.

I am both suprised and inspired by the responses.

I'm no yoga expert but I have recently lost 40ish lbs and am currently in the top 10% of my age group for both BP and run times.

If anyone needs encouragement or just wants to BS about changing lifestyle habits, I'm here.
