Went to see my dad yesterday and he was showing me a Henry 4570 he had picked up. Thought you guys might like to see as well. Not really sure how pro gun these folks on it really are but thought it was cool to have trump on there. The black fuzzy on the reciever is from the case he had it stored in. I’m going to get him a gun sock here soon. I'm normally stationed on CVNs.
Lots of us guys are hoping one of the two next carriers becomes the USS MAGA with the motto "Grab 'em by the _____" (in Latin of course, to be politically correct)

That 45-70 has to kick harder than a revolutionary era cannon!

Some folks'll stroke out when they see that .45-70.

LOL! Yeah. Usually I am a traditionalist when it comes to lever guns.

But it's just a Remlin, so who cares? And it was fun! LOL

Marlin 1895G in .45-70
Midwest Industries Rail
Beartooth Mercantile safety delete
Leupold VX-R 1.25x4 with Firedot
Leupold rings

The boss-man cut the stock down for me to get the length of pull right and re-fitted the pad. I couldn't stand the wood on black look so I painted the stock black. A few days (and a few shots of bourbon) later, I felt the need to put a little tiger stripe scheme to it. Not the most professional by any mean, but I don't regret it.

Never heard of or seen a lever action in 308. That’s interesting.
Sako made a 308 levergun. I had a Browning BLR in 308. That was a nice gun, but I like the Winchester 88 a lot more.

The Sako, BLR and 88 are the three original leverguns that lock up like a bolt gun, with rotating bolts. None of them uses a tubular magazine, so they are good with pointy boolits.

Oh, yeah, Savage 99 too... but no rotating bolt.

Henry Long Ranger is very similar to a BLR, but with a better trigger.

Sounds like it would be fascinating to volunteer to help...
My son wanted to go shoot one day. Stated the gun he was taking. I said I don’t have one of those. He produced it and off we went. At one time I sold off maybe 8 guns due to storage space. 4 had never been shot. Waste of money.

This gal came into work a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't help but rescue her.

This is a real Marlin and shall not be molested.

.30-30 Centennial 336 (1970, probably produced in 69)

Butt-plate was missing. Got her so cheap I'm embarrassed to post it. She'll have a loving home now.
