Eventually, they're just going to drive off contest creators, and especially those related to firearms. Can't have people becoming interested in guns or rival their pay-to-view garbage.

I watch a ton of YouTube but continue to get frustrated with their actions like this. The worst part is the lack of ANY details, rational explanation, ability to dispute, citing specific policy violated, and the general “moving target” that content creators have to hit.

I can’t wait until a large Corp or someone well funded sues them for severely impacting earnings with no explanation or proof of a violation. I’m sure this is covered in their T&C’s but you can sue anyone for anything.

Worst case scenario is they end up settling about 5-6 suits in a row, draining some of their cash.
Agreed but with Google’s insane cash, it won’t matter too much. They’ll compensate for any stock fluctuation with a product release or something.
The bright side is that settlements and public embarrassments tend to drive policy in Silicon Valley. So if that happened, they might actually begin citing which rule was broken.

I can’t watch a video on YT without getting smothered by 2000 tulsi gabbard ads.

I would rather see hers than the other hopefuls. I can turn the volume down and ogle.

Most of the time it’s the joint interview with Joe Rogan. If I want to see a bald guy with stubble I’ll just FaceTime you
