Last summer, I was in Greenville, SC where my niece lives. I figured I was in town and had some free time, I will take her to lunch. I called her, she said she was free and that we could go to Outback, because she was a waitress there. Sure thing.
We meet at Outback 30 minutes later. She arrives with some 16 year old kid. (She was 19 at the time). She explains that her boyfriends brother was in town and he was going to join us for lunch.
While eating, this kid sat there and bragged to me how he was tik tok famous and that he had something like 1mil followers on social media. Middle of the summer, I had to sit across from this kid wearing a sweatshirt, winter hat, painted nails and just listen to how he was launching a clothing line soon.
My niece who is a social butterfly and socially retarded, gets up and leaves me for what felt like an eternity to chat with her coworkers.
Long story short, he didn't have $5 to his name to cover the appetizer he wanted. I guess Outback wasn't buying his exposure. And yes, he offered to put it on social media if they would give it to him for free.
