This movie is wildly different from the previous piece of poop that someone else finished. This one is actually pretty great 30 minutes in.
 
I did not like the original, if y’all are saying this one is good I’ll check it out.
 
Buddy of mine said it’s in 4:3 format to capture Snyder’s original vision. We haven’t started it yet, so was wondering how that viewing experience was?
 
4:3 I did not understand

The movie is an order of magnitude better than the theatrical release
 
4.5 of 5 stars.
Way better than theatrical release.
Run time was insane. Took all afternoon. I very much enjoyed this.

I didn't even notice after the opening credits finished. It's a little like watching a movie on VHS and an old CRT. My TV is just 49" so that may make the smaller viewing area less noticeable, but it wasn't anything that detracts from the content of the film.

Just finished it. Much better than the theatre release. This one was actually interesting enough to make you want to see the next attempt.

I'm really glad to hear good reviews, I've been hoping for the best but mentally preparing myself for the suck.

Maybe I can get it to this weekend.

I don’t remember what was bad about the first one, just that I didn’t like it. Not as bad as Aquaman or WW1984.

I wouldn’t watch this one again, but it was watchable. It just seemed like it went on longer than 4 hours. I don’t know the DC world as well as the Marvel world, mainly because I think the Marvel movies are far superior and have watched them all multiple times. My wife is as big of a fan of the Marvel/DC stuff, probably even bigger since she watch the Flash TV show and some other stuff. She’s a much bigger Star Wars fan than I am. Her reaction to this one was it was a lot to process. She spent the next 24 hours thinking about it and watching YT videos trying to figure it all out. I simply forgot about it once it was over.

If you haven’t watch it, you’ll see Prologue popup on the screen. ~10 minutes later it’s Part 1. Then every 30 minutes or so it’ll move on to Part 2, Part 3, etc. I remember at one point thinking it was wrapping up (based on time, bit story), but I checked and we were still ~7 minutes shy of the 3-hour mark. Then it shows Epilogue and I assume we’re wrapping up. Check the timer and there’s almost 30 minutes left.

And I know it’s all fake. But I think the CGI in the Marvel films is far superior to the DC stuff. The DC stuff is definitely darker...not that that makes it better or worse.

Fair-handed assessment. I like Ironman and Spiderman. The rest of Marvel is meh. The MCU movies I like are Ironman and Spiderman. I thought the last two mega movies were disappointments. Oh, and the first Captain America was a fun film.

DC is my preference. Batman is arguably my favorite hero. His "power" is realistic in so far as being rich and buying gear is more possible than flight or lazer eyes or invulnerability.

I really enjoyed a few moments of the film, particularly when Superman would display his far superior strength.

If you're wife is a Starwars and Comic hero nerd, as well as gun purchase friendly... what a catch she is. I thought I had a good one with her gun friendly attitude and kitchen superpowers but this information changes the calculus. You're a fortunate fellow.
 
This movie was really good .
Surprised how much i enjoyed it
better than the the theatre release.whiich was terrible.
