I don't really need or especially want a AR 15. The bug just never bit. But, I really like tinkering with guns. Bubba the gun tinkerer is me. I've repaired, fixed, refinished, refurbished, whatever "my own gun" for years now.
The other day when wishing I had a gun that needs some tinkering I came across PSA website. I saw they had a PSA 5.56 M4 carbine "blemish" kit reg $620 on sale for $320. Complete except for rear sight, mag and stripped lower. In the reviews several talked about how they could not find the blemish. PSA says the blemish could be a scratch, tool mark under the finish or the color " black" may not exactly match somewhere on the gun. I thought getting 50% off on a PSA was a good deal blemish or not.
So I bought one. Now to get the sight, mag and lower. Thought I'd put it together as is for now and later when I feel the urge to tinker go back and add stuff or swap stuff out.

Missed opportunity if you really want to tinker. Could have built one yourself.

But you’ll definitely want to upgrade it and that price is hard to beat.

Apparently you don’t shop PSA often. You might’ve paid $320…but it wasn’t 50% off. 🤓
 
I didn't ever plan on an ar style rifle either until big brother started trying say I couldn't have one. So I built one then 2 then 3 and it can be a very deep rabbit hole. But alot of fun specially for tinkering types. Ar platform is Legos for men. If you start accumulating parts you must keep them separated or the parts have been known to make more ar's all by themselves 🤣
